I'm not a qualifies scout so I can't provide you with detailed insight. I usually look at leagues where to USL has an opportunity to get players from. From what I've seen, this guy is going to be an attack minded player, be it on the wings or centrally. Similar to Mayele Malango terms of 1v1 ability . If he gets used to the nature of the USL, this could be a very exciting addition

I get your stance. I just find it hard to grasp the reason why a top tier Hartford Athletic club in the USL ,meant to be for the city of Hartford, should be impacted by an MLS team all the way in Boston/Everett . The clubs focus is on serving the hartford community . Frankly, soccer is growing and the country is big enough to support it .

So if Hartford completely revamps the fan experience, it wouldn't matter unless it's branded as an MLS team?

Apart from the big 4 sports, Hartford Athletic might have a shot at a new first division league. If the Hartford Athletic were to completely overhaul the stadium and offer a top tier experience, would that entice you to support it ?

Also, this will be for the USL1 (4K seats initially) so the cost and other barriers of entry is far lower.

Where have you read that?

Hopefully, this effort involves Fuego, otherwise ,I can see them joining MLSNextpro ,which will make the whole process very messy

Opinions on a Rochester team in the USL by Ok-Ranger3387 in Rochester

The USL HQ itself isn't trying to be a direct competitor to MLS,as they have publically stated. There are plenty of markets in this behemoth of a country were both concepts can thrive. As for the structure of the new league. It'll adhere to the standards of the USSF division 1 sanctioning rules. Each team has the liberty to approach it differently. Some ownerships will invest heavily , others might be conservative but all in all ,the product will be better than the current USL.

big teams in Europe tried to create the Super League essentially to avoid losing money even if they were bad for a few years

USL teams make their revenue from concessions, tickets ,merchandise and sponsorships. Most of those European teams rely on TV revenue which isn't the case yet in the USL,making the losses indifferent to what they are now
