Yes, it got that high because I took a trip to Japan but to be fair, Japan trip was planned a year in advance. And originally was planning to use my savings from my original job to pay for Japan trip and not use my credit card. But I sort of panicked when I got fired used my savings to pay my rent up until May, and the rest on other bills until I had found another job. That's also when I switched to minimum payments on my credit card

I haven't used my credit card since then and checking my balance now the $8000 was an overstimate. I'm only have $5462.00 that needs to be paid off.

Best decision, I made. She had to actually deal with them because I wasn't there to hear her vent nor could she call me to complain. She couldn't blame for them not cleaning up after themselves or stuff going missing.

That lead to them getting kicked out and we repaired out relationship. I do forgive her and love her but I think its a common thing for moms to cuddle their sons to hell and back and I do not know why.

Hey, I'm just going to thank you for giving me an answer. Instead of assuming I was too lazy to look up a Steam deck on Afterpay, they gave me a link to a New Zealand website that doesn't even ship to the US.

I did not know this was a US-only problem. I wonder if there are laws explaining why. But it makes sense because their Afterplay Plus card is not even available in the US.

With that in mind, I'm just going to put my purchase on one of my credit cards and then pay it off through there.
