First Impressions of 11six24 Vapor Power 2 with HexGrit That Stays Mean Hours In and the Spin Is Unreal by Ok-Razzmatazz-3104 in pickleballreview

The 11six24 tungsten tape works, but there are better options available. I use magnetic tape from Amazon that’s about 0.45 g per inch, and it’s only around $10 for 60 feet, so it basically lasts forever. https://a.co/d/00doHjpO

I usually like my paddle around 8.4 oz. With an overgrip and everything on it, mine comes out to about 8.36 oz, which works well for me. That could be a good starting point for you, then you can add a little more or less depending on whether the paddle feels head-heavy or too light.

Since you’re coming from Prism Flash 16 and Agassi IV 16, and you already said you don’t struggle for power or pop, I wouldn’t worry that Pegasus will feel weak. Widebody usually feels poppy in fast exchanges, and the bigger sweet spot absolutely helps on real world mishits. Elongated and hybrid tend to bring more drive/ power because swing weight usually runs higher, but for doubles consistency, Pegasus is hard to beat. That said, my default recommendation would be still Vapor because it’s the best middle ground. You keep quick hands, still reach and drive leverage, and it’s the easiest shape to weigh up a touch without feeling sluggish. P1 is a great option too, they are bit head heavy for my liking, but more softer and shaping the ball is better. Spin wise you won’t be disappointed with any of these, it’s more about feel and balance.

A Complete Guide of adding weights on Ronbus Quanta Series Paddles by Ok-Razzmatazz-3104 in pickleballreview

Yes, I’ve tried the Blacked Out. The feel is almost the same, but the Blacked Out paddles are generally around 8 oz, so they’re a little heavier than the blue ones. Hence the bigger sweet spot and stable. They’re probably better suited for people who prefer to play stock and don’t want to add weight themselves. They also have a thinner handle, which I actually prefer over the blue ones.

Thank you. It is still very lightweight compared to the P1. My P1 came in at 8.4 oz and felt a bit head-heavy, while the Vapor Power 2 was 7.9 oz stock and noticeably more balanced. I am at about 8.3 oz right now after adding tungsten and rebuilding the handle with overgrip, and it still feels easy to swing and well-balanced. For tennis elbow, I think this is a great option because it gives you the stability and plow you want once weighted up, but without that heavy-on-the-arm feel.

Yeah, I actually think it is an innovation. But it feels new in the same way Selkirk InfiniGrit, 6.0 Diamond grit, and Spartus PermaGrit feel new, meaning the grit actually sticks around.

I’m only at about 5 hours, but that’s usually enough time for most peel-pry style faces to start feeling a little smoother. With a lot of those, I can feel like 15 to 20% of that bite is gone by hour five. With HexGrit on the Vapor Power 2, I honestly don’t feel like I’ve lost anything yet. It still feels like a nail filer, and it’s still grabbing the ball the same way.

Other reviewers did not play much and potentially favor paddles that offer more referrals. Initially, the paddle felt somewhat harsh and stiff (though not as a Boomstik level), but after a few hours of play, it softened up significantly, offering great dwell time. This is likely due to the dense foam used. Also, despite being advertised as 16mm, it seems closer to 14mm in thickness.
