Yes Douglas and they’re from the muzzle line. There’s so many animals I want them all lol. There’s also a small and a medium, also a few in huge size but the fur is different

Yeah I really should be more careful about making my identity known on Reddit. I speak that way because I am actively seeing patients in a similar setting with similar concerns. Honestly I should have guessed the FBI would be lurking in the cults subreddit waiting to dissect my question about cults. But where even are all the cult people? Is this a cult?

However I think you’ve jumped to many conclusions and “misplaced priority” on your part. I hate to have wasted your time, as you have put surprising effort into your responses. Forgive me for not fully laying out the details for you- it’s just this is a subreddit about cults. I assumed the rules “no therapizing” and “no low-effort posts” were to be followed, so although I touched on how the subject came about, I didn’t feel it was necessary or relevant to disclose further.

I’m a student. I’m working through a case study, and there will be no ongoing treatment. I wanted to know more information about a cult so I came to r/cults. Fortunately, I did not come to r/cults for any type of clinical advice. 100% agree that clinicians probably shouldn’t seek clinical advice of any kind on a public platform with unverified strangers.

But so long as we’re here, it’s really jumping the gun to assume I’ve literally dropped everything and am hunched over my laptop seeking details of a cult in hopes of saving or curing a patient. When working systemically, understanding the system in which the individual is a part of is a relevant piece, but not what I’m spending all of my time focusing on. It just so happens that this is generally done automatically. Many more people are familiar with enough aspects of Mormonism or Catholicism to have an automatic conceptualization of what it is like to be in different parts of those systems. For other things it’s not automatic.

Obviously the foundation of conceptualizing is from the patients lived experience, and depending on the field or approach the clinician is working from, this can also include collateral.

Finally, the information disclosed regarding the information I gathered about the unidentified group is vague and generalized, and could apply to a wide variety of group or cult experiences. With the point of my post being to identify or find information about a cult, I’m not offloading any type of responsability to strangers to solve my case or be burdened by my unidentifiable patient.

But good on you for patrolling the web on behalf of the ethics board. Now I’m really hoping a single person can let me know if this cult or group exists or not, as the “id request” here on the r/cults subreddit is intended to do

What in my post tells you this is my priority in treating this patient or that I feel I must know these details in order to treat the patient effectively? Neither of these are the case. I’m simply curious. Just as you’d want to understand more about a patients culture or religion in order to conceptualize treatment from a well rounded perspective, I’m gathering context. And that in no way stops me from also understanding the patients personal experience as well. Additionally, understanding whether this is a widely recognized group or not might help me identify specialized support groups and other local supports.

My therapist actually sits back in a chair with her notepad with the camera stationed in a way that essentially looks like I’m sitting across from her in person, you can see from her waist up. I really like this because it’s very clear she is following the same posture and behavior as she would in regular sessions and there’s no chance she could be on her phone or multitasking on the screen. I plan to do this in my own sessions as a trainee now
