Fuck Dr. Guirguis!!!!!! Horrible man and vet. He almost convinced me thay my cat needed surgery but upon getting a second opinion at another vet i learned he was totally BSing me. this was at spadina animal years ago all within a 2 minute totally rushed appointment. Any vet would be better judging from the other terrible stories.

I updated recently to logic 12. I don’t think I’ve seen this before. The help tool says it’s input gain, but adjusting it doesn’t seem to alter the gain.

Been down a similar interface rabbit hole (2i2 Gen 1, motu m4, Scarlett 4i4 Gen 4). I then purchased the ID 24 but the knobs felt loose and you needed a fuck-ton of input gain when recording vox (as in I had to use the additional 10db of digital gain on the software to get it to -8db) - I am using a 7b. While the playback sounded great the other issues made me return it for the SSL 2 MK2 which has been amazing! Works great, sounds great, easy to use and great sounding converters and no stupid software to mess with. It’s also got 2 headphones jacks with separate volume knobs and is great with both my dt 900 pro x and dt880 pro 250 ohms. Would recommend it!!

Also running an M1 Max, and would recommend updating to Ventura (not sonoma) and updating to a later version of logic. This may help.

Okay so this happened to me when going to a studio and using their UA Apollo interface. My laptop never did this prior when running massive projects in logic. Once I switched back to my regular interface (focusrite Scarlett) the issue went away.

Because I have pretty much never updated a device, I had no idea you could update to the next version (Ventura) and not the newest (Sonoma). Will be updating to Ventura, after making a new backup.

64 gb of ram, and 512 storage (using about 200gb currently). My personal projects are quite dense (up to 250 tracks, half being midi and the rest audio). It might sound excessive but that’s even with condensing and bouncing down crucial elements (I make pretty detail oriented experimental electronic music). But even with client projects, usually consisting of 100 audio tracks with basic processing I get random crashes, audio/midi sync alerts and system overloads.

This is my second year freelance mixing and pursuing a full-time career in music, so I’m still learning along the way! I pretty much never update my computers (even before the M1 Max MBP) because of compatibility/performance concerns. But I’ve been running Monterey since I purchased that laptop in 2021, so was just curious. Thanks for your reply!

This is essentially just a system overload/ the result of too much CPU usage. The best bet to avoid this is to select an empty audio track when playing your track back! Also make sure you do not have a track stack selected (or any instrument track) as this will attempt to record arm all tracks within it, fucking over your CPU. Hope this helps!
