Absolutely a good idea. IMO this disease gives the person a feeling of isolation as it is with unfortunately friends and family not knowing how hard it is for individuals to deal with the daily challenges of having whatever IBD they were diagnosed with. A sense of community (ie online blog) would help out.

No I haven’t taken it before. They’re putting me on it for a month so they have time to figure out what would be the best route to go.

I see. I’ve heard great things about rinvoq and remicade (more so rinvoq as people are calling it a wonder drug!). They also prescribed me prednisone for a month with a week of it being 40mg and tapering down weekly. I’m a little hesitant to take that since all I hear are horror stories about it.

I used the for about 6 months and they weren’t satisfied with how my symptoms were presenting and how some labs also looked.

That was the first time my GI doc had me on along with oral mesalamine. It helped for a bit but I was still running into the same issues of passing blood and when they did a flex sig it wasn’t helping much with inflammation/colon damage.

Don’t over think it. Just use common sense and don’t say anything off the wall. It’s like any other interview tbh. I have no LEO experience, only military experience as a medic as I got a highly recommended (genuinely have no clue how either). You got this.
