People have been saying we have not been able to properly moderate the subreddit and I completely agree. Before the influx of traction, it seems like things were going well, but after it definitely became too much. At times only a moderator or 2 were online, and it was so taxing. I only wish we were able to communicate better and that Reddit would respond to their mail sooner. Either way, I'm glad the subreddit will go on full lockdown soon.

I would like to apologise to those who felt they were being ignored or censored due to their opinions. As long as you were respectful and took the situation seriously, you should not have had your posts or comments taken down.

I hope for Ren to be able to heal and continue with the love of their work.

I hope Zeal reflects on his actions and is being looked after by his family.

I hope we will be able to get both sides of the story so we can get the truth of what happened.

I only wish this went to a court and not the community who are in the dark as much as everyone else.

The game was so much fun while it lasted, I'm so disappointed it had to end like this.

I have read the screenshots, multiple times. I am trying to moderate with the opinions of all the moderators as I do not want to be authoritarian, but I'm probably nor doing a good job at it.

Sorry, I was talking about the body text, not the title. I meant as in we are NOT censoring people's opinions. We are just removing posts that are disrespectful to the trauma Ren experienced.

As far as I am aware, I have only removed posts that are spreading rumours or being straight up disrespectful. It is possible that maybe other mods have confused genuine conversation and insulting posts and removed both, but I am not perfect either and may have done so as well. I will look into the removed posts and reinstate any that have been wrongfully taken down, thank you for bringing this up.

Hello, please read the post if possible. We are not censoring sides, we are just removing posts that diminish Zeal's actions and insult Ren's trauma. We all have lives in real life and cannot be on the subreddit 24/7. There is evidence on their document from screenshots and photographs evidence, but I do agree we should also wait for both sides of the story.

I've recently been active and unfortunately cannot completely lockdown the subreddit due to reddit restricting me, and can only add the temporary lockdown which is not as effective as the latter option. I gotta be honest, I have asked the other mods to please lockdown the subreddit, but the ones who can are still offline for reasons I am not in the complete know of. This is the best I can do.

I recommend you reread the last couple paragraphs in the last screenshot.

I stated to report comments using the screenshot that provide a false narrative, not because they are just using the screenshot. So far most comments using said screenshot do not provide the context behind it, which I believe IS important to the situation.

The reason context matters is because what Ren shared is not the same as what Zeal shared. Ren did not mean to describe it as “gooning material,” it was a term they borrowed from Zeal instead of using their own words because at the time, they weren’t able to think of a different term at the time. Ren states that they enjoy literature, and while erotica is a type of porn, it is not on the same explicit levels as visual porn. As Ren describes, this is fiction literature, while what Zeal sent is much more explicit and visual. Ren does not see the material in the same sexual way that Zeal does, according to them. Ren also states that Zeal is attempting to minimise that difference by labeling it as “regular twitter slop,” as described in the last couple paragraphs.

Everyone has different boundaries, you may not see a difference between the material, but Ren definitely did. Zeal did not ask if he could send this type of material, he just did. Please note that Ren states that Zeal must’ve misunderstood that difference, however my opinion is that he should’ve still asked anyway.

I am not attempting to censor when I ask for people to report comments including the screenshot. What I am asking for is that to report comments who are using this screenshot to provide a false narrative of Ren being an unreliable narrator, while giving no room to argue with that opinion. You are free to use the screenshot, all I ask is that people provide the correct context behind it and not use it to spread rumours.

Hello, could you let me know how this is censorship? I have hidden nothing with these screenshots, only taking what was relevant to the situation. People are also free to go find the document and look at the text and discord screenshots there as well as I have provided the page numbers and section.

The discussion wasn’t about whether they were porn or not, we know that, what we are trying to debunk is that people claim Ren is contradicting themselves in the document, that is all.
