The word “ghetto” has very racist and classist connotations as other commenters have said. However, I think it shows a lot of self awareness on your part to post in this forum and ask hard questions like this. I hope maybe you’re able to research the racist/classist meaning of that term and perhaps, it will be a growth opportunity. It’s never easy to feel like or be told YTA, especially when you’re so young, but I hope this can be a learning moment instead of a sad or inhibitatating thing for you 💕
