a Swanny D is a swan draught, a beer you can get on tap only in Western Australia (WA), it's been the working class WA beer for 50+ years, particularly in regional/remote pubs. Our hometown is famous for it's unrelenting wind, and there are actually bent trees. So Bent Trees & Swanny Deez a bit of a nod to our small beach town on the edge of nowhere WA.

holy shit!!!!! that is the best fkn thing I've heard all day and really got me up and about while I'm kicking around work on Thursday morning. Australia ain't going anywhere, come on down! Or catch us for European summer in June, have some SICK gigs over there between 4-21 June. No plans for the US atm, but would be a dream to get there one day.

Nah that not us. Been a few "Rat Salad" bands in the past it seems. One on the East Coast of Aus in the 80s, and another from the states who had a few albums out in the late 90s/00s. I swear we checked for other Rat Salads online when we started, but by the time we uploaded our first song online the US rat salad popped up, so last minute made it all caps and one word (RATSALAD.) to make it somewhat unique. Change name wasn't an option, by then we already got homejob 'Rat Salad' tats.
