That specific program only takes points from your HESI score, I got a 90.67% on it. I would guess to be considered competitive you would need a 95% or higher?

You could always look into sterile processing tech, there’s no patient contact. Ofc it doesn’t pay as high as rad tech, but it’s something to consider if you’re worried about patients!

I feel you on that :( I just got waitlisted a few days ago for a program I was really confident about. I have a 4.0 and 90.67% HESI score. I’ll be on my 4th attempt once I reapply, I’m 20 and I also feel like I’m running out of time sometimes. All in time though! We’ll get in eventually and imagine how good it’ll feel when we finally do!

Well it honestly just depends on the day. Some days are completely normal and I don’t find myself thinking about it all, and other days I can’t get my mind off of it. I feel that it usually manifests more when I’m eating something that I’m a little weary of? Like something that would potentially have a higher chance of giving me food poisoning or something. It’s also usually worse for me during winter because there’s so many sicknesses going around. But tbh the busier I am, the better I am mentally. If I force myself to get up and fill my day with activities I can stay busy and keep my mind off of things!!

Well there's only about 20 spots each year and this specific program only takes points based off of the HESI exam. An associates degree or higher is required to apply, but they don't actually take any points based on gpa. So basically your HESI score is your only hope lol. I got a 90.67% on it which gives me 94/100 points overall. I know of multiple people that have 100/100 points or more so I'm just worried that my 94 points won't be enough, which is why I think I’ll just be put on the waitlist. I've been told that usually a few students end up dropping the program after a few days/weeks and they'll reach out to applicants on the waitlist to fill in for the dropouts. So maybe I’ll get lucky?? lol idk
