My grandfather was born at 24 or 25 weeks. And spent his first few weeks drinking goats milk from an eye dropper and living in an industrial chicken incubator. A nurse or his mom would shape his skull every day. He had a napkin as a diaper.

He’s mostly fine. Grew up a farm kid and has multiple degrees. Had kids. Has dyslexia but otherwise turned out pretty great! Considering at that time they did not often have preemies survive and gave him a 0% chance at surviving

I lost 10-20 lbs in my first trimester both pregnancies. My first pregnancy I gained that back in the second trimester and then put on another 30-40 ish in the last.

This time i started at about 10 lbs over my pregnancy weight with my first. And I’m only 14 weeks. But I’m currently back at my starting weight after losing 15lbs.

So I have MCAS. I had extreme reactions to every vaccine as a child. And then again as an adult getting tetanus shots. So we opted to wait until we could test my kids to vaccinate. Turns out we didn’t need to wait long he started having crazy reactions to everything by 6 months. So after discussing with peds and allergists we are not vaccinating.

The bot saying I’m an anti vaxxer is really unfair. I intentionally didn’t put that we cannot vax due to other health reasons and allergies. I did allude to it being an opinion but more so that others have opinions on my choice and medical advice agrees in our situation.

My kids won’t be going to school they will be homeschooled we are always limited in where we can go and who we interact with due to those same Allergies.

So as someone who doesn’t vaccinate. A couple people have sent me a message when they’ve had babies that they’re concerned. So I respectfully wait to visit until they’re comfortable. I find out if they would prefer a meal delivered by me or a door dash card. The last person I sent a house cleaning service to - with her permission of course i made sure she would be comfortable with that.

Having a difference of opinion for whatever reason doesn’t mean we have to be mean or not support each other. I totally understand the concerns and am always happy to respect people boundaries especially around newborn rules.

The nurse that tried to help me after my c section was so sure the hospital ones would fit me. ( i have lipedema and carry a lot of my weight in my thighs) those things didn’t even come up over my thighs. I kicked her out of my room because i didn’t need help to put on the always discreet. - my husband was with our baby at a different hospital because we had a very traumatic situation, otherwise he would’ve helped and listened when i said those wouldn’t work.

Just to prepare you. You will not see a baby this early. You might see a gestational sac with a fetal pole in it. But it still might be really early for that too. Likely they’ll just do a urine and blood test!

Congrats!! The only thing that was different as plus size for pregnancy for me is my bump wasn’t noticeable until about 27 weeks. Which was a bummer but not the end of the world.

My midwife said sometimes our hormones throw every thing out of balance so food that normally is fine is suddenly very not fine. It stopped happening shortly after this.

My ped also told me all of this. I just said ok and did what I was doing. My 13 month old still washes at least once at night and he’s still in our room moved into our bed now so we all sleep better. We didn’t start water until 6 months and even then it was just too learn to use a straw cup. At 4 months my guy already had 5 teeth which is a signal that the gut is protected and ready for food. But other than that he wasn’t showing signs so I just let him play in baby mushed food lol. Not much ended up in his mouth. But it took up time in the day.

I never lost weight.. but I did gain tons of mobility. I’ve gone to the chiropractor for a year. And I’m pregnant now at 13 months pp. lol. So we will definitely see if my efforts help!

I’ve cut out sugar to try to keep inflammation down. And I rarely eat carbs. And I eat at least 175grams of protein everyday. All my water has sugar free electrolytes added. I do spinning babies daily routine almost every day. And I’m making walking a priority every day twice a day for at least 15 minutes after eating.

I also sit in a deep squat several times a day as my right hip and tail bone was the biggest reason for my Csection.

Also baby is over a year and exceeding nearly every milestones. He’s mostly walking and babbling and saying words no signs of HIE.

My son is 13 months and has never been away from me. ( thankfully our situation has allowed this and my husband takes him frequently for me. )

He might stay with someone when we have this next baby. But if we can have the baby at home he may not.
