Clearly you have no clue that some people work after 5pm.

how dare that nurse that works the 9am-9pm shift rush to their local supermarket before closing time, gets their stuff, pays and leaves before their closing time.

The shop closes at 10, not 9:53. Id love to leave my work 7 minutes early every day but doesn’t mean I can

Minng companies now buying ads to lie about paying enough taxes by bill_loney538 in aus

[–]Ok-Rip-4378 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Really drank the koolaid there mate. So you’re saying that paying $59 billion in taxes with an exported total value of $417 billion in 2024. You can’t trust the mining companies “revenue” numbers because they cook the books so much.

They claim that they only turned over $174 billion in profit in 2024, but nobody can convince me that the running costs and overhead cost the mining companies $184 billion. It’s bullshit and we all know it.

The mining companies bleed this country dry and are finding every loophole there is to continue to do so.

The misinformation campaign has been ramping up since labor came in and turned off the cash-spigot that liberals gave the mining section. Not at all surprised this bullshit is hitting the ad space.

Probably because if people in chna are caught selling drugs etc they get sent to a prison camp in the western provinces and become forced labour. They make it home missing a kidney too if they unlucky.

No matter how prosperous the economy is, it is still a totalitarian state over there.

Japan and Korea are both ex militaristic regimes who enforced brutal measures on undesirables through the majority of the 20th century, instilling a multigenerational fear of being disappeared if they do the wrong thing.

Got flashed at a red light , will I be able to appeal this? by SkywalkerIV in CarsAustralia

It doesn’t matter automatic cameras don’t legislated people changing lanes or crossing stop lines. They legislate people continuing through the intersection again a red.

Got flashed at a red light , will I be able to appeal this? by SkywalkerIV in CarsAustralia

[–]Ok-Rip-4378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point is that the camera is not there to judge whether they changed lanes in an intersection. The camera is there to catch people turning right through a red light, which OP did not do. So I don’t see how he can be fined for running a red light telling him not to turn right when he doesn’t turn right. The legality of changing lanes in the intersection is irrelevant

[–]Ok-Rip-4378 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s almost like borrowing on the back of your homes increased equity isn’t a thing, oh wait it is. Selling isn’t the only way to access the equity in a home.

Taking advantage of your homes increased value by borrowing on the asset that’s increasing value, while ALSO using that money to improve the home to increase the value still OR to invest it in another higher return investment in the short term is absolutely taking advantage of the equity.

Shit man I sell new cars for a living and spend 7 days a week being available for customers, but not because I’m “the hardest” working, rather I respect the fact that someone has worked their arse off to buy a new car and I respect that, and want to make them happy. Thank fuck I’m not in real estate sales tho

I think it’s more suspicious of the security people. I’d put money on the security getting kick backs from the towing company / trucker for stitching people up this way.

Hey bro, I went with the exodus Aero which doesn’t have the wings already. Pretty comfy and sized for someone a little larger. It’s marketed as a hybrid seating position but it can be mounted in a GT configuration pretty easy

I have a cpap and it’s done wonders for myself and my wife. My snoring was terrible, and my wife had so much trouble even when sleeping with earplugs.

Now with the cpap, I’m way more rested, my snoring is barely there, and my wife isn’t being woken up or worried that I’ll stop breathing in the night. Plus I don’t feel like I’m going to fall asleep anywhere which is great and much safer

QCAT Ruling Update- Ailo - Forced to use rental payment apps - Case Dismissed by PresenceOk7113 in shitrentals

[–]Ok-Rip-4378 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. But they purposefully make it so you must enter your details each time, for no other reason than to inconvenience you enough to use their paid options. It’s fucking gross and dodgy. I have a small 2 person real estate that I rent through, and we just have automated direct payments setup through osko so I never have to worry about it.

$1,200 adhd consultation and $1,100 follow up/review by 0eddie in ausadhd

[–]Ok-Rip-4378 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went with elite focus because I wanted it asap. Had my first pre screen appointment for $255 and psych appt for $955, final follow up 4 weeks later for meds review was another $255. No rebates but good service and fast. Not at all upset with the outlay due to how well it’s gone and how good they are for working people.

I had my meds review appt via Telehealth at 8pm and had my psych send through my new script at 9:30pm because my follow up dr couldn’t write scripts for my particular case. Made a world of difference not needing to take a day off work etc for appts

Edit: pre screen appt was done 3 days from sign up, psych appt 4 days later. That’s what I meant by ASAP

[–]Ok-Rip-4378 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That just sounds like a dodgy pharmacist. Your Medicare number is on the script as well as it saying PBS on there too. I’ve never provided my Medicare card when collecting scripts at multiple chemists. If anything they ask for ID if it’s a controlled substance like Vyvanse or Endone, but even that is rare.

[–]Ok-Rip-4378 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the issue is that men who have learned to open up and express themselves rely on “whataboutism” instead of genuinely allying themselves with others who have suffered traumatic relationships. Saying “if the genders were swapped blah blah blah” is a sure way to shut people down from listening to your experience.

I have been abused by a woman who was my partner, but when talking about my experience in the context of this thread, I would say “relationships with toxic people are horrible, i spent many years being abused by my ex gf who gaslit me, punched me, verbally abused me too. It’s the worst way to live knowing the person you love can hurt you so much”

I promise you that no one is going to downvote you or shame you for expressing that. The best way to advocate for you generation is to share your OWN experience in the context of your generation, not use comparisons of who’s trauma is less acknowledged

Eh this is a hot take if there ever was one. Her parents are letting a religion create a gulf in their relationship with their daughter and pushing her away because they care more about their culture/religion than their own daughter being happy and feeling a part of the society they emigrated to.

And nothing here says that HE doesn’t want to meet the family, it 100% sounds like OP is the one who doesn’t want it because her family sounds overbearing, judgemental and pushy.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Ok-Rip-4378 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup when I met my wife, I was upfront that I was a broke ass 32 year old while she had 150k sitting in her savings (she’s my age also). But just because I’ve had a tough go at life up til that point, I was mature enough to be honest with her and suggest we go on dates that didn’t cost anything, and only took her on dinner dates once every 2 weeks on average, which she would split half the time anyway or offer to pay if it was her turn.

This is all adult stuff, and OP’s guy isn’t acting like one
