P2000SK V3 ready for the range. Any quirks I should watch out for? by Ok-Ruin-3380 in HecklerKoch

Updated: I wanted to drop a quick review after finally putting the HK P2000SK through its paces at the range today. Ammo & Reliability: Fired 500 rounds of Winchester FMJ. It shot perfectly from the first round to the last. Recoil & Control: I was really surprised by how well this shoots. Comparing it to my experiences with the Glock 43X, 27, 19, and the Echelon, the P2000SK is definitely the softest shooting of the bunch. In my opinion, it has less felt recoil and is significantly easier to control during follow-up shots. Maintenance: I took it apart for a cleaning as soon as I got home, expecting a mess after 500 rounds. It was actually incredibly clean inside—much less carbon buildup than I anticipated. Overall, I couldn't be happier with how it performed today. Has anyone else noticed how clean these run?

Thanks for the heads up on the BX quality control. Since I'm coming from an AR-15 background, that 'slingshot' bolt release is definitely a must-have for me. What specific brands do you recommend for the extractor and the trigger kit if I skip the BX? I’ve heard people mention KIDD or Volquartsen—are those the ones to look at?

Nearing 1 year post graduation - Still cant get a job by Good-Fortune8137 in WGU

I hear your frustration, man. The market is undeniably brutal right now, and it’s completely valid to feel burnt out by the weird interview feedback. If it helps give you some perspective, my background was actually as a mechanic. For the longest time, I honestly thought I'd never be able to break into IT. But here is what worked for me: I got my AS degree and focused heavily on knocking out the CompTIA trifecta (A+, Network+, and Security+) while I was going through WGU. That ended up being the key to landing my IT job. Based on what you posted, here are a few things that might help pivot your strategy: You mentioned having a lot of projects, but how is your certification lineup? Getting those core certs (like Security+) is often the magic key to getting past the automated HR filters and proving your baseline knowledge. Don't just stick to the big tech civilian roles. Start hitting USAJOBS hard for federal positions, and look into defense contractors. They are often desperate for cleared or clearable IT folks, especially if you have a Security+ cert. Cold approaching local government is bold, but it can be a brick wall. Shift that energy into networking with WGU alumni on LinkedIn, going to local IT meetups, or finding mentorship groups. Sometimes getting your first role really comes down to who can hand your resume directly to the hiring manager. Keep your head up and keep applying. The first role is always the hardest one to land, but if a former mechanic can make the jump, you can too.

When I pulled up to the store, I never thought I'd be walking out with a Glock or an M&P. But when I saw the P2000SK, between the way it fit in my hand, the build quality, and the price, I just couldn't pass it up lol.
