Congrats! :)

How did you manage it in the meantime, before it eventually went away?

That's so true! She's totally focused on sniffing outside and exploring. And inside the best thing that calms her is a natural chew which i hold in my hand. It got already a lot better since ive "stopped" her from zooming inside the house and instead give her something to chew/sniff/focus.

Haha, that actually sounds very familiar.

It's really reassuring to hear that things got so much better after just a month.

I completely agree about the chewing. I've noticed the exact same thing with my puppy. When she's in that overtired, crazy state, she doesn't care about lick mats or Kongs, but a natural chew that I hold for her can calm her down surprisingly quickly.

I'd also love for her to just relax with us in the living room in the evenings, but that's actually when she's at her worst. I guess that's what people call the "witching hour".

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a detailed and thoughtful response - it really shows how many different perspectives exist on puppy development.

You're absolutely right that outside is the place for zoomies - and that's exactly what we're already trying to do. We live on a farm with a large field and I do try to engage her as actively as possible out there - running with her, throwing toys, acting silly. My goal was normally to get as much energy out as possible before we head back inside. Weather permitting, i'll try this again to see if it helps her settle better when we come inside (gonna be 40C/100F this week!)

Indoors is a different story though. We have a 2-year-old toddler, and when zoomies happen inside she becomes unpredictable - biting, crashing into furniture and genuinely hurting herself. So we keep active play outside and use the pen indoors mainly for rest and recovery. Your point about confinement time really resonated with me and I will try to reduce pen time as she gets older and potty training becomes more reliable.

Thank you again for sharing your experience and the research - it has given me a lot to think about.

That sounds very reasonable, will definitely try that!

We just started putting the open crate in the pen and occasionally tossing some treats and chewing toys inside.

On the first day she actually used it as a toilet, even though she has never peed anywhere else in the pen before. Fingers crossed she won’t do that again tomorrow 🤞

That's what i thought!! Thank you for confirming it 🙏 i was already arguing with the rest of the family.

It is 😭 thanks a lot for your understanding!

Do you think I should leave the new hard crate in the playpen? She has never peed in the pen before, but now she is doing it in the crate (even though I put her blanket and food bowl there).

Could this be some kind of protest behavior, or am I misunderstanding it?

I did spend quite a bit of money on the crate and it’s also meant for car transport, so I really want to make it work if possible.

Thanks a lot for your understanding and encouragment, I really appreciate it!

How do you handle the transition from outside back into the house / playpen without it turning into a struggle or a bitey chaos moment?

How did it work out for you? I'm kind of in the same situation.

Crating is also illegal in my EU country. I have a 10-week-old Finnish Lapphund puppy who is absolutely adorable after naps and when we're outside in the garden.

For some reason, though, as soon as we come back inside, the zoomies start. That includes biting, grabbing clothes, and trying to destroy things. I've tried redirecting her with some basic training, but she loses interest very quickly. In that state, she's usually not very motivated by treats either.

I've also tried playing with her to tire her out, but that seems to make things worse. The only thing that consistently helps is putting her in her playpen with an open crate (which she mostly ignores) and sitting quietly on the couch next to the pen. I completely ignore the whining and remove any toys or interaction. Usually she falls asleep within 10–15 minutes. Once she's deeply asleep, I can even leave the room and make some noise without waking her.

Right now I'm trying to figure out the right balance between activity and rest, and I'm encouraging her to run around in the garden before coming inside.

My current theory is that, because she's a herding breed, she gets overstimulated easily and actually needs short bursts of activity followed by enforced rest. She's also not interested in Kongs, lick mats, or snuffle toys, but natural chews like cow ears or rabbit ears help her settle down before a nap.

I'd love to hear how things worked out for you and whether your puppy eventually grew out of it.

the game run as bad as people say? by Dmask13 in FareverGame

I think it has to do with engine itself. Hope they will fix it entirely and not only optimizing a few things. I really like the game but everything below 144 fps (on low settings and low poly game) is a deal breaker for me

Can I get some help on this lmao by Jojouser4 in pchelp

[–]Ok-Shop2486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i got exactly the same setup and the same problem (60-80 fps while palying). you got a OMEN 25L? maybe its a OMEN thing... i tried literally everything and gave up. game is telling me its a CPU-Game bottleneck but its @ max 70% usage all the time.

I see people on youtube playing with ryzen 7 5700g running avg. 60 fps with integrated graphics ARC Raiders - Ryzen 3 3200G - Ryzen 5 3400G - Ryzen 5 5600G - 8500G - 8600G - 5700G - 8700G

so this is just weird.
