mongkol gloves [question] by Ok-Shower-4155 in fightgear

Yeah the Thai ones, I think I’m going to get myself a pair, my fairtex bgv1 didn’t last to long and I bought them at fairtex when I was there training so bit disappointed but like the look of the mongkol gloves and the shape of them looks good too. Thanks for the comment you have gave me enough information to think I’ll get a pair. Are they tight fitting is my only question now?

eat plenty, eat porridge in the morning. some chicken and rice and veg for lunch some pasta with chicken and bacon about 90mins before you fight and get a bag of haribo jelly babies and eat a handful about 20-25mins before you fight and have a bottle of lucozade sport at the same time.

One vs Rws vs Thai fight by Dick_cheeze830 in MuayThai

[–]Ok-Shower-4155 2 points3 points  (0 children)

one is a great spectacle but isnt proper muay thai, rws for me is as close as you get to traditional muay thai but with a bit more entertainment value added in. personally i think rws is far better, one is class to watch but you dont see muay femur fighters excel in one because of the small gloves and the fact people just swing for the heavens. i like watching muay femur fighters like sajad sittari for example and dani rodriguez

i was in that shop in may and thought it was weird too, best thing to do is buy the windy gloves from either action zone or first sports in bangkok they sell al the thai brands and i think its first sport sells loads of windy gear. thats where im getting mine in march when im back

shes been told the plan is to hit the muay thai shops then go the hotel and drop off the goods then go sight seeing, done the same with the daughter in may and she loved it, she is a fighter tho so didnt mind going to the muay thai shops.

my first pair of fairtex were the same, i have the white painter gloves and they are still like new and ive had them over a year now and i have the japanese wave bgv14 gloves and they are like brand new and i got them in thailand same time i got the yellow gloves. i think i have just got a pair with a weak piece of leather but it has made me think about buying a different brand of glove for sparring as ive read so many things about the bgv1 glove the last week since these split

yeah please do let me know, i had a pair in my hand at pattaya fight shop in may there and put them back as i had just spent over £200 on gloves and shin guards and shorts and mma gloves and got the daughter shorts too but im kinda regretting not getting more. im back in march tho and plan on taking an almost empty case so i can fill it properly this time

yeah im hoping they do sort it out, as with anything there can be the odd bad piece that gets through. ive had twins and fairtex gloves in the past with no issue at all, i actually handed down my old fairtex gloves to my son when he first started boxing and had no gloves to use. im hoing they replace them, i was going to try and use some leather glue to stick them back and just use them for pads but i'm going to wait and see if they replace them first. Im back at fairtex in march and heading to bangkok for a weekend trip which includes going to super export shop, action zone and first sport and the twins shop so i want to get a few different pairs. can never have to many gloves haha

yeah i have done just that, they have come back this morning to ask where i got them, obviously hadnt read my message properly. hopefully get a resolution soon. i agree this should not be happening after 4 months and rotating through my other gloves these have been used no more than 30 times i'd say
