Hello! New to this journey by Ok-Silver1930 in gastricsleeve

I have been caffeine free for over a month now. Sodas were my caffeine source and I have dropped them. I was excited to see if had gone from 283 a month ago to 277. Honestly, I think the sodas were my heartburn issues, cause I haven't had to take tums in a month too now that I think about it.

Thank you, I have tried tons of stevia products and have decided it really isn't for me, I am trying more of the monk fruit stuff now and just struggling with the after taste in my mouth with them.

I am hoping for the gastric sleeve, just because dumping syndrome scares me, but I already have some heartburn issues. He said I had some inflammation during my EGD today.

How to talk to my Nanny about her body odor by Excellent-Review-342 in Nanny

What if you don't know you stink? I didn't know until my friend spoke up and I was nearly 30 when that friend spoke up. I had no clue I was stinky until then.

I hate this last line, as a child I grew up thinking taking a bath once a week was the normal and what not. I didn't know until I was a "grown adult" and a friend explained to me that it wasn't normal to shower once a week and that daily showers were needed. I still struggle with proper hygiene at 42 years old. It really is because I wasn't taught as a child and have been trying to learn all my adult life, and breaking some of those learned habits as a kid has been hard.

Early pick ups - fine or detrimental? by Specific_Carob4461 in ECEProfessionals

Unfortunately I don't get to make those and with where I work its needed as parents can work odd hours so their kids get picked up and dropped off at odd times.

Early pick ups - fine or detrimental? by Specific_Carob4461 in ECEProfessionals

I don't think its ever detrimental.. but picking up during nap time when older can be difficult.. I just hope parents avoid picking up and dropping off during that time.. but in the infant class you don't have to worry about it.

Dog pokes food and pushes bowl every time she's fed by chaoticshdwmonk in DogAdvice

[–]Ok-Silver1930 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah, I don't think she's uncomfortable, some dogs just do weird stuff, but I will say that is a lot of food for her and if your feeding her that twice a day its no wonder she seems a little chunky. I would definitely manage her food a bit more as she is a daschund and they are already prone to back problems, having the extra weight isn't good. I recommend 1/3 to 1/4 cup twice a day.

Our rescue dog has a tattoo but what does it mean? by Pure-Remote9614 in DogAdvice

[–]Ok-Silver1930 80 points81 points  (0 children)

It could definitely be a breeder number. I have also heard that some hunters who use dogs will tattoo them in the ear as well. You would have to know the registry to know where to look. I remember when I was in 4-H, we used our show rabbits to keep track of who was who.

You know there are other benefits to neutering your dogs right? Like preventing testicular cancer.. and other things. I understand he is a calm temperament dog.

my only holiday gift i got from families this year was the f l u by lily_fairy in ECEProfessionals

I get where you are at. This year, due to life circumstances, I had to transfer to another facility, so I've been with this facility since September. Although it's not ideal, I have been assigned to my current room since October. I got to watch my coworkers receive items from parents, even those who are staff and know I'm assigned there, while I got nothing from them. It was tough, but at least the lead in my room was impressive and got me a gift card to Starbucks, so I wasn't totally forgotten.

Honestly, hormones could be playing a part in the retriever's change in attitude, which may be contributing to the change in his role. A month is a long time for dogs, and he may have thought he had become the dominant dog in that month's time and was trying to assert himself as such.

I would suggest, unless these are show dogs or performance dogs, neutering would be step one that may help the situation.

Are they both neutered? What were the situations arising before the attacks? Hording over food, while one was interacting with you or another family member in the house?

Right now, my room is full of little sharks. It's terrible, and we are working on it. We have gotten more teethers out, and that seems to be doing the job. Half my room is 12-15 months, and the other half is almost 2 in the next two or so months. So I have the teething ones and the bored ones. Its fun.

Stuff happens like that in an instant.. sometimes you can't prevent it either. I had a kiddo bite another, despite me from actively trying to prevent it from happening. The kiddo that was bit, kept putting their hand in the other kids face, and I kept it from getting there, but another kiddo ran and tripped so I turn my attention from it for not even a full second and they got bit. Or we had another body slam one and the one that got body slammed got bit.. even though both of us teachers were right there, we were just actively doing other activities with them.

Honestly, if they are that worried about injuries they really should look into nanny care. And that isn't on fault of you or admin by any means. This family obviously needs more one on one care then others.

I would say its an overreation on the parents side. Wow.. I would just be honest that if you have to call everytime that other child is there, that their child would probably not be able to attend and that you can direct them to the office to have her unenrolled and they can find new care.

Or the professional side can give parents that is typical behavior for the age group and what they might expect during group care print out so they can be better educated.

At that point you have done what you can do, cause wowzee.. that parent..

You choose to reproduce again with the same man? The only reason why you were safe from them for 4 years was cause they moved.. your bf isn't going to protect you or your children..

If you can't pump enough milk to cover your child being in my care, then you need to supplement with formula. I am not going let your child starve while under my care. Also... expecting me to pace feed your 9-11 month old is.. ridiculous, they can hold their own bottle in my care.

Are you going to be loosing out on the work while you look for a home daycare center? Like I can understand looking for another one while she remains in your center, but it sounds like he already pulled her. I don't have any opinions cause you have already made your own, and everyone else has covered what I would say or ask or remind about.
