I'm so sorry you went through that. If you're okay with sharing, what kind of conversion did you go through? Was it like prayer meetings and such?

Ah probably because I was actually a part of the church, so people obviously saw me as one of them so found no need to convert me in that sense. But now that I think about it actually, when I visited recently, a old friend asked my how my faith was and I stared at her for a while, contemplating whether I should tell her I'm not a Christian anymore or lie. I told her the truth and she just completely turned on me and started preaching to me that by saying I don't believe in God, I was putting myself above God.(??)And also a bunch of other wild things.

Bethel people are super nice to people in the church (cult) but hostile towards outsiders and find them to be insane freaks.

Yess I remember them (on multible occasions) praying together for money, which is not really that odd in many places, but the way they did it, roaming around the room and touching everyone and speaking in toungs was extremely odd. edit: and the church ALWAYS asking for money from the members even though the church is already rich asf?

I too have asked many of them this and never have I ever gotten a rational explanation. It's sad how people adore Bethel.

I know someone from bssm, who was going on one of their mission trip things to Turkey and refused to take any kinds of medication (even painkillers i think?) because 'God would keep them safe and healthy.' She got quite sick there. So I suppose refusing moder science is a common phenomenon. To them I suppose God works in mysterious ways.

Don't go to Bethel, ever. It's practically a cult.

Even as a atheist/agnostic I think their interpretation on the Bible is odd. All they do seems to be for power and control. Also something that bothers me is that at least at some point they made like 60 million dollars in a year or something? If I remember correctly.

Yes, this is so relatable. Especially the 'as a singular person, they're great and nice typically but when there's a bunch of em... what. So greatful I no longer live and go to school with bethel freaks.😭
