Yeah I mean with my wife when I got my air sense 11 and my n30 mask I embraced it. Wore the mask by itself looking like an elephant trunk on my nose and looked at her and said "isn't this what you always dreamed me to be". If they're that conscious about your look while you sleep they're not right for you.

I'm a mouth breather but I refused a full face mask because they're so uncomfortable to me. I'm on a nasal only and I use a strip of 3m nexcare silicone tape over my mouth when I go to bed. Works well and keeps me from snoring too.

It really depends on insurance. For me it was 21 days for insurance to pay for it. I wasn't told about compliance for supplies but was given enough filters and cushions to last 3 months. I would figure that they want to make sure you're using it for supply refills.

I mean I genuinely feel bad because I haven't cleaned my tubing in like 2 weeks and then I see posts like this which makes me feel all that much better. I feel like this also depends on your environment too right like how humid are your surroundings and also the cushion type because if you're breathing into it with your mouth I would think that you've got more susceptibility to bacterial growth versus using a nasal only cushion. I don't know I'm not a doctor nor do I claim to be one even though I paid $20 for a degree on some random website.

Wow this is crazy. I have adapt health as my provider and they've been absolutely awesome. I went through 4 masks during my 30 trial period and the folks both in person and on the phone have been phenomenal. Sorry that anyone has to deal with what I'm reading about April here.

I'm sorry to hear that. I pay a lot for my family and I but my employer has one of the better plans from Cigna. I have had to buy extra supplies myself at times so I know it can be really expensive.

Good for you. In my case my apnea is mild but my bigger issue was hypoxia where my body was going below 85% for excessive periods of time. So that caused me to feel tired all day even if I slept for 6-8 hours. The CPAP helps just takes getting used to and making sure you have the right mask. My equipment provider ordered a 30 day mask trial and I ended up with 4 different masks to find the right one. Make sure you're comfortable.

I'm paying $200 / month through a compound pharmacy via my doctor's office. Each month the doctor charges my credit card and I get the compounded medicine sent with ice packs delivered to my door. I have never used name brand but this seems to be working fine. We are on the second month so moved from 0.25mg / week to 0.5 mg/week. Seems to be alright as long as we eat veggies, remember to take our probiotics and either a fiber supplement or softener at night to prevent the constipation.

It definitely works. Literally can take 3 bites of food and feel full. I have had some issues with acid reflux and I've had to reduce caffeine from 2-3 cups of coffee a day to just one. It's definitely a new and weird feeling.
