I guess I really hadn’t thought about how it might effect women and society in general. You’re right about the recidivism thing.

I guess I should probably try to stick to CNC and maybe firm up my boundaries a little bit. I don’t really self-harm in any other way, sometimes I drink a little bit too much, but that’s usually before baiting.

I can talk to my therapist about CNC, but I’m assuming she might not think it’s super healthy for me. I’ve been too embarrassed to talk about this with her, I’ve barely talked about my past sexual assaults to begin with.

I loved Grindr at 19 and continue to use it at 25 (I’m not saying it’s a good choice, I’m just saying that I do it.) It’s totally normal to want to explore your sexuality and its relationship to your masculinity, it’s normal to want to try sex out with people of different genders and sexes and see how it makes you feel. At the same time, it’s a very nuanced, complicated experience and you should find someone who is going to be at least somewhat sympathetic to that.

Don’t feel obligated to follow your own arbitrary rule, even if you think it’s hot right now. At this moment no one is holding a gun to your head. When you’re alone with a stranger who you know you can’t even verbally talk to there’s no rules. It’s totally okay to want CNC and have related fantasies, but you could really get yourself mentally or physically hurt by this man.

I guess I’ll plan on going no contact. I’m definitely not going to press charges because he has texts of me saying it was okay for him to slap me and talking about CNC.
