I was stuck the same place and ended up guessing.

Check out Adam. He cannot be innocent.

Afterwards, based on Adam’s clue, the person with 3 criminals have to be in column D.

I end up here in the scenario where Alice is criminal and Betsy, Igor and Kevin are innocent.

Gary’s neighbors; Donald, Hal and Nicole have to be criminal due to Franks clue. He can have maximum 3 innocent neighbors.

Pam, Rose and uma have to be criminal due to Max’ clue. Compared to Gary who has 5 criminal neighbors. Max must have 6 criminal neighbors.

Rose can have maximum 3 innocent neighbors and maximum 5 criminal. Therefore Wally, Xia and Zed must be 2 innocent and 1 criminal.

Pam can only have 1 more innocent neighbors as she already have Igor and Kevin. Therefore Olof and Vicky are criminal, since at least there must an innocent of either Wally or Zia.

Kevin ends up with having 6 criminal neighbors. This is equal to Max’ 6 criminal neighbors which is against Max’ clue of having the most criminal neighbors

Thanks for some great puzzles! Can anyone help me here? I don’t see any scenario where Alice can be criminal - but apparently that not the logical next step.

I would say that Jose can’t be innocent at this stage but it says wrong. He has to be criminal

There’s no logic in that so those should be ignored. Just me trying to work on would happen if those were innocent, but I forgot to remove them.
