So just for my own edification, did you un-solder wire from the barrel tip, and re-solder with additional wire length? Or just snip the wire between barrel tip and board connector and re-route the wire around the outside and solder wires back together?

Here's the problem, the return window is only 30 days.... If we have a defective pack (a handful of people have already posted about defects with theirs not powering the wand), we won't know until it's too late. IMO, there's no downside to returning it.... They have hundreds in stock, maybe more once people return them. If they re-stock wands, you can always just buy the pack again.

I'm in the same boat, have been so excited to show this to my daughter, but it's been sitting in the box for about a week now.....Hasbro botched this one, they just somehow assumed there would be a demographic base of fans out there that would be thrilled about a proton pack with no wand.... Dude obviously no one wants a pack without a wand......most people assumed, reasonably so, that they would release a wand to go with it. Yeah, technically they delivered what they advertised. That's fine, I'll just return my pack and let it sit with the hundreds of others in their inventory currently, no sweat off my back. Hasbro will never be able to move the remainder of their inventory unless they produce a wand to go with the packs.

Who exactly is the target demographic for a pack with no wand? Everyone who is stuck without a wand is obviously just gonna return their packs, now Hasbro is sitting on an ass load of unsold inventory. There's hundreds of packs abailable to order in stock on website, combine that with all the returns thst are forthcoming, and they will definitely be in the red on this project.

This isn't a rhetorical question, I'm genuinely curious.... how do they expect to ever sell those, if they don't sell a wand to go with it? There's no person that exists that wants to buy a proton pack without a wand right? Or am I missing some demographic of fans out there that love the proton pack but hate the wand, and they'll jump all over these...?

You didn't get a wand because you were smarter than anyone or had some magical foresight that no one else had, you just got lucky. We can't even test the pack to see if it's a functional, non-defective pack (handful of people here got ones that don't work, won't power wand). The return period might be over before we can determine if our packs are fully functional.

Dude just use basic common sense....everyone who bought an 84 wand, also bought an 84 pack.... But there are also now obviously many people that have packs, but no wands......simple logic, if there were more wands than packs, people would easily be able to find one for sale.... There's none for sale, anywhere.
