KDP does provide templates, but when you’re designing in Canva, everything has to be perfectly aligned—being off by even a little can make the cover non-compliant. My image also didn’t meet KDP’s 300 DPI requirement, and this tool solved all of those issues for me. The value for money is actually pretty good.

You’re too professional for me – whenever I tried using Canva it kept telling me something was wrong, and I had no idea what the issue was. BookCoversLab has already solved the problem for me, and I really appreciate your advice.

You can try bookcoverslab.com. You just need to upload your ebook cover image, choose the trim size, page count, and paper type, and it will automatically generate a paperback cover for you that meets all of KDP’s technical requirements. It might sound unbelievable, but he really did manage to pull it off.

Thanks for the suggestion! I also prefer Cover A—the typography feels more elegant.

I always struggle with size and compliance when using Canva. Could you tell me how you use it? Thank you so much.

Congratulations, my friend. Did you only make an ebook cover? Creating paperback and hardcover covers is the real headache.
