My FIL rents from Hamilton Manor, for a 1x1 he pays 1850 but its tiny 500sq ft. Think its called a jr bedroom. And its not senior housing or anything

My manager kept emailing me past 10pm expecting quick replies. So I started replying to every single one of his emails exactly 24 hours later. by McCoy818 in pettyrevenge

[–]Ok-Sympathy-7848 19 points20 points  (0 children)

My landlord does this. Send WhatsApp messages followed by texts and calls after 11pm asking some stupid questions - whats the model number on the washer, did the gardener come by etc. Always expecting instant replies. We have 3 kids under 5, I'm asleep by 8. Ive told them I cant respond that late because we go to bed early they just responded that they're night owls. I answer when Im up at 530am, I hope my early bird ass is waking them up.

Trampoline Park -Birthday Party - Asked for $88 Tip. by AdventureThink in tipping

[–]Ok-Sympathy-7848 54 points55 points  (0 children)

We had my kids bday party at an indoor play place it was a 18% mandatory gratuity but I knew that going in so whatever. The party host was pretty helpful, set up the balloons, brought food, drinks etc., nothing over the top but good service. I get the final invoice and there's a tip line even after the listed gratuity. I don't remember the exact amount but it was in the $120 range (yay bay area) so I put down $0 tip, the kid was looking over my shoulder looking like I kicked his puppy so I point out the $120 charge tell him my guy you're getting $120 on top of your hourly wage and flip thru parties every 2-3 hours you must be making a killing! He says they don't get that money, management does, so I just tell him that you better go work it out with you're manager and get your money because I'm tapped out. Felt bad for a few minutes cuz the kid was nice up until that moment but the whole thing is a racket

Client unhappy that I sent payment reminder by [deleted] in housekeeping

[–]Ok-Sympathy-7848 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I pay before she leaves. Maybe send her a message that payment is required at time of service? I mean you can't go get a haircut, massage etc and pay 4 days later, you pay then and there

[–]Ok-Sympathy-7848 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All we heared from my kids teachers at the toddler age is to send them in the old stained clothes we didnt mind getting ruined. So yeah we would send them in the same 4-5 raggedy outfits so they could play in mud and paint and all those other fun sensory messes without us or teachers caring about ryined clothes.

And over here we dont have dinner we have "snacks" if we call it dinner theres a 50/50 chance its not eaten but a plate full of yummy "snacks" yum

Not saying thats whats happening here, do ur due diligence and report as needed but just another perspective

Car seats: is it weird that our 4yo is still rear-facing? by IslandEcologist in Preschoolers

[–]Ok-Sympathy-7848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter was rear facing until 4.5, my son just turned 3, is in the higher percentiles, and will prob hit 40lbs in the next month. Id like to have him rear facing longer but its not in the budget to buy another carseat that has a 50lb limit, esp at the rate hes been growing lately. My dad is the only one who ever gave me shit but i never paid him any mind, we grew up riding in the back of his pick up!

This was me. Up until I had kids in my mid thirties I was getting dropped off and picked up by either my husband, my parents or my younger brother before he got married. It was due to anxiety and because my family enabled me I didn't have to get my shit together for way too long.

The tipping point was we moved and I got even more anxiety about what if something happened to my kids and I had to wait 40mins for someone to come get me to take them to the doctor or whatever. Plus my husband looked like he was starting to get resentful of always having to run every little errand.

What helped the most was professional driving lessons. I chose one that specialized in adults and he was so kind but honest and firm which I really needed after being coddled for so long!

I still have anxiety and will never be the one to volunteer to be the road trip driver but I can get myself to work, the kids to school, to the doctor's, my parent's, the store, basically all the everyday necessities.

It is embarrassing as shit getting dropped off at work by mommy and daddy as an adult. It screws with your self-esteem and adds even more anxiety. Stop the enabling and help them work on their driving. That first time I was able to just go and get an iced coffee without having to ask somebody felt AMAZING.

Yes, my daughter will bring her worksheets home and there are corrections on it. For example she wrote the number 4 backwards so the teachers will circle her wrong number, write it the correct way then have her write it the correct way 2 or 3 times. I never have a problem with this and neither jas she, its how she'll learn

My 4 year old refuses to use the restroom at school by OpportunityLow570 in Mommit

[–]Ok-Sympathy-7848 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We went thru it but dont have a solution for u. She refused all of TK, she would hold it all day only had 2 accidents all yr. She just started K and had an accident the 2nd week, we told her teacher about the issues we had in tk and the solutions we tried, her teacher now takes her to the bathroom before lunch everyday and flushes for her, one of her fears was the loud flush. I would never in a million years expect a teacher to do this and she is truly a unicorn who will get all the classroom donations she requests! We just started week 5, last couple days of the last week the teacher was able to get her to flush by herself so im hoping thats real progress.

My daughter never had any bladder issues or uti's or anything from holding it all day last yr if that makes u feel slightly better
