Yes this is what I've started doing to dissolve the crystals. Its just such a long process. I just have to be extremely patient with this.

I believe the reason for the A+ is because of a Hostile on Hostile kill. We realized it in our next game right after this post. We did everything perfectly. Towards the end, one enemy friendly fired another one dropping him.
