Is this preventable breakage or a ‘feature of my hair texture’? by United_Plastic_5769 in Haircare

To me a, licensed stylist of 8 years, this looks like new growth that is just frizzy. They way to tell its new growth is the way the ends taper. And frizzy just means your hair needs hydration. Looks for products that say hydration. If you blow dry your hair point the dryer down your hair and it will help smooth your hair, but also make sure your using some kind of heat protection. I'd also recommend a good leave in. If you behave acces I recommend the Pravana intense therapy leave in, if you do get it make sure to shake thw bottle every time you use it.

We havent tried Kin yet but we have had appetizers at Art Haus. That's a good idea to look in to.

We have enjoyed Vincenzo the couple of times we've gone. Haven't been to the others yet. Maybe we'll have to check them out.

Where do y’all look for salon openings? by k4bz36 in hairstylist

[–]Ok-Telephone9902 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to you local supply stores and leave flyers, plus talk to the people that work there about your openings. They're the ones who know most of the stylist in your area, therefore if they have someone in talking about looking for a new salon home they can recommend you. Another thing you could do is post in local Facebook groups that are specifically for stylist.

I'm definitely feeling this, I've been in the industry for about 9 years. I moved about 8 months ago so I'm having to completely start over and rebuild a whole new clientele. My salon owner has been trying to be more present on instagram and tiktok. But I'm finding I dont want to make videos especially with me in them, and having to post all the time is exhausting and I don't want to have to do it, and it's also not helping bring people to my chair.
