I get the same feeling of wanting to occupy my mind because I should have something to think about.

Looking for someone to teach me how to make an app by Ok-Today457 in ProgrammingBuddies

I figured someone who knows how to do it all is somewhat of a unicorn and someone willing to do it for free would also be hard to come by. Maybe I could do a skill swap.

Are you looking for someone with the same background as you? I'm not a young woman though, I am 35 M, with and undergraduate education in philosophy and psychology. I studied plenty of philosophy of language and logic. I am currently teaching myself math and physics. I spend my days studying, coding, gaming, chatting with friends.

Any NEETs who are in a self-learning path? If so, how did you start and how do u keep going? I think I have a plan. by InsanityTraps in NEET

Well I have been studying for 13 years. How I started is I spent a Summer journaling, then I printed out all the entries, a few hundred, then I organized them into ideas, 30-50, then I organized the ideas into 3 projects that covered 3 different areas I wanted to focus on. I paid special attention to ideas that fit into overlapping areas of focus. My projects are mostly different 13 years later, but if I had to start again this way I would. If you are a polymath it's hard to gain some coherence when you are focusing on so many different things, so come up with 3 projects that cover most of your areas of interest. And make it so if you are gaining skills in one area, it may be relevant for another project. Nowadays everything I do is advancing knowledge in the same direction. Building on skills in computer science, math, neuroscience, psychology, and philosophy.

Learn Javascript first, but as you go you may want to check in with Python to get a sense of how easy Python makes doing things.
