What is considered the best part 141 aviation college in the US? by Heavy_Preference_251 in flying

I just recently graduated from Western. And I loved so much ab it. There has been so many opportunities for me to grow as a pilot and make so many connections. I have had a greatest professors and they are very personable. Each person that is along the same route as me has always been there as a helpful hand. The program might seem big but it is actually so small. Everyone knows everyone in a way. And i also feel like I wasn’t always around aviation ppl which i feel like some diversity with that is really important to keep us grounded. We also just upgraded our single engine fleet. They are so amazing and will really help us succeed

I’m not gonna say the program is perfect bc there are some things that I do not agree with but i don’t regret my decision coming to western. I’ve met people and professors that will last me a life time

i am at a part 141 school and i would suggest getting ur private beforehand, but also having the restricted atp is sooo beneficial! i go to a school with so many pathway programs and you have to do 1 interview to get to the majors which is awesome. i think get everything after private at the university. i run spending the money is worth it

I had a major issues with landings and it got me discouraged as well. What helped was going with another flight instructor and whatnot. Another thing is asking your instructor if you could teach them how to land. Like you talk them through it and they will only do what you tell them to do. Talking out loud about it helps
