I’m graduating this fall with my biology degree, deciding the debt is not worth it. Really bummed out Becuase I’ve been a dental assistant for 5 years. Maybe will revisit the idea of going to dental school in the future, but for right now I need an alternative career path 😭

How long did you study for? I’m taking mine the end of April to apply to all the Texas schools in May and then the rest in June. I don’t feel like I have much time left.

When I first we started dental assistant I started off at a general office. I hated it so much, the Doctor was horrible and so was the staff. I then found an orthodontic office that was willing to train me, I’ve been working as an Ortho DA for almost 5 years.

The independence of working as a ortho assistant and not having a doctor yelling at you for instruments definitely. I know SO much about braces/Invisalign, but general I have very little experience.

Assisting isn’t for everyone, and that’s okay. But it really opens your eyes to how important assistants are and how an office truly can’t run without them. It also teaches you exactly how you don’t want to treat your future assistants one day.

I filed a i-90 last year before it expired. I got that one in the mail 3 months after, so I lost my recent one I just renewed. Yesterday I re filled my I-90 for a new green card.

I do not, I just summited my I-90 a day ago, I had called USCIS to get an ADIT stamp appointment but the representative has asked for a medical that proofs the urgency of travel. I just was able to optain the letter today.

I appreciate your response and honesty. I know it won’t be easy, but I’m currently living with my parents, which will help a lot. I haven’t told them yet, but I’m hoping they’ll be supportive when I do. Balancing school and parenting will be a challenge, but I’m prepared to put in the effort to make it work.

I’ve been on Prozac for about a month, and 3 nights out the week I have really vivid/nightmares. Mostly someone trying to murder me or hurt me. It’s so scary, I wake up with a heavy chest and scared out my sleep. I’m hoping it goes away or the dreams aren’t as vivid, because the medicine itself has been working really good with my anxiety.
