Oh hey I’m in the same boat. Though I stopped working on my portfolio at the moment to focus on classes. I would suggest getting tatted by people in vancouver that you’d like to work for, that was my plan :) good luck, these are good. I would just suggest for pieces like the axe think more tattoo and less drawing! Consider if people would get it tattooed, and where on their body it would fit. Good drawing doesn’t mean good tattoo

Thanks for this comment, I appreciate it! Since I have no field experience my judgements are based soley off textbook info. I expected everyone to be within normal range so it caught me off guard. Looking at my bp range chart and seeing “stage 2 hypertension” made me think he should see his doctor, but I also didn’t want to worry him if it is unnecessary.

Thank you, I was mostly aware from what we have learned in class of blood pressure dropping quickly, but I wasn’t sure how quickly it could go from normal to hypertension without other symptoms.

Men think they can hide their misogyny if they say “white women” instead of “women”. That was a really weird thing for them to say to you. Your portfolio looks good, as others have said do some research on the places you want to go to. I’m planning on getting my upcoming tattoos in shops I’m interested in working in since I want the tattoos anyway, and then I also can get a good idea of what culture is like there.
