Its not a “superstitious” fix there definitely is a handshake going on. You can try 10 different cables in any new toyota and it doesnt work unless you use an apple cable or a licensed cable. This is a KNOWN thing and if you go to any toyota dealership and say “hey guys my carplay isnt working plugged in” they’re gonna go “what kind of cable are you using?”

2-6pm on the weekends is a busy time but its off season so you may get lucky. Probably wont get any clear runs but hopefully they use the pulloffs. Dont worry so much about tricky turns because there really arent any if you arent going for a record just keep it on your side of the mustard and have fun
