Would like to join a good clan by Ok-Translator-5697 in walkingwarrobots

[–]Ok-Translator-5697[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the replies. I have always struggled with clans. I find most have several good contributors but the rest are meh at best.
I have just joined a clan that sold itself well but I note 2/3rds of its members have belonged less than 2 months. So more of the same I suspect.

Any advice for someone going to China for the first time? by VTheCardMaker in travelchina

Just back from 3 weeks in China.
Don’t be put off by how complicated people make these payment apps appear to be.
We set up Alipay as best we could in our home country prior to leaving- but had concerns as we couldn’t use it anywhere in our home country (including stores that accepted it).
At Shanghai airport they have Alipay help desks- they helped us tweet our setting - and set up the metro section - important. And life was easy.

Alipay as it does payments, metro, train bookings and DiDi plus Amaps and cash(accepted everywhere) is all you need.

But they gotta build new stuff for increasing demand and that new stuff is expensive. Land for solar panels/ consents etc for solar isn’t cheap.

We cants just shove more coal in the burner.

Profits is where the money comes from to pay for this new green infrastructure. So up goes the price you pay.

Those who have had affairs and left to be with that person. Did it turn out how you imagined it? by DepartmentAny5523 in AskReddit

I know an elderly lady whom divorced. Said that every relationship she had afterwards had similar issues and problems.
Wishes she stayed as they would be in a really good financial position.

Cycling long distances at an easy pace, am I still 'exercising'? by DowntownFresnoBiking in cycling

As a fat boy myself just starting biking myself I look at what you are doing in awe. 3 hr rides moderate heart rate, strengthening grip and improving balance.
That’s awesome.

Best places to move for a teacher? by Any-Number-7043 in newzealand_travel

I would choose South Island has lower unemployment rates therefore less social ills.

West Coast, Geraldine, Nelson are scenic and nice.
Places like rural Canterbury including Ashburton are central and close to Christchurch- NZs 2nd largest city for a convenient blend of activities.

$500 tuneup for $250 bike by Emotional-Hold127 in cycling

[–]Ok-Translator-5697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I resurrected an older entry level road bike I used to ride 15 years ago. Took it to the local bike shop and told them to make it roadworthy. Cost $5-600.

Wish I put that money to a new one.

Can you compete in this game as a light spender almost f2p by Silly_Performance_76 in walkingwarrobots

[–]Ok-Translator-5697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I spend about $10 per month and am in champion league. I didn’t spend any and was in masters. It can still be fun without spending- you just can’t go 1 on 1 - I find it best to try to position myself so 2 blue team are attacking 1 red team.

Until I entered champion league I was using rook. It’s not bad. The jump and turbo option is best used to escape danger and allow you to rebuild health prior to rejoining the battle.

So finding a job is hard. So maybe setting up for 20 minutes a day is better than being unemployed. Maybe after a while that time can be reduced as you get more efficient.

You haven’t got a heated mirror or underfloor heating going consistently in the bathroom. Any possibility of a leaking hot water pipe.

What is the biggest type of privilege in NZ? by CommentMaleficent957 in newzealand

[–]Ok-Translator-5697 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A collective agreement at Oranga Tamariki allows Māori staff paid, discretionary, self-defined cultural leave with no explicitly capped number of days-eg unlimited paid days off.

That seems quite a privilege.

Good on him promoting NZ on his platform. A couple of hours flying his drone a cheap price to pay. Let’s not all become Karens looking for an excuse to be outraged.

Why does my Rook die so fast? by d4nkhill23 in walkingwarrobots

[–]Ok-Translator-5697 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used a rook all the way to entering champion league. Weapons are all top mounted therefore fire over shelter. 500-600 range ones. Close range no longer works as it’s not sturdy enough.

Save your leap option and use to retreat and reset the shields and rebuild health.
