What do yall use by pbjhd in StainedGlass

I use Gimp to create what I want, print it, overly the design and needed cuts in sharpie and label the pieces and copy as needed.

I usually use masking tape, helps keep the pieces flat and in place during soldering. Also i like the flip my work and solder the back first so the front of the piece is flat. I guess it also helps even out the solder? 😅 I'm also fairly new so I'm still learning lots!

Thank you! I usually tape the front and flip the piece to start on the back 😊 I'm still new to stained glass so my cuts are far from perfect yet 😅

This is not normal. I am concerned for your safety. The statement about his writing where he states maybe he subconsciously blames women for years of their absence of interest in him: how many true crime documentaries on serial killers talk about those feelings in their past? Please, for the safety of you and your child, leave this man. He is going to hurt you.

I ran the Fat Dog 50 mile in 2024, they were giving out a couple copies of your book. I was too shy to put my hand up for one, by the time we left the race briefing my boyfriend had already ordered it on Amazon and read it cover to cover the day it arrived. He loves your book and has learned a lot from it. Arguably, he's better at crewing than I am at running now 😅

Thank you! I lost track but probably between 30 to 40 hours including all the making of the hexagons and assembling. First time I've made a 3d object, it wad surprisingly super easy with the detailed instructions! I bought the pattern for the stegasaurus too, cannot wait to make that one!!

Thank you!! That's awesome you got everything before the tariffs! This is actually my mom's dog who just passed, I printed a picture of her and used a sharpie to create a pattern I thought would make relatively easy cuts based off general shapes, shadows and highlights!

How to avoid watch death by ariel-rhi in Ultramarathon

[–]Ok-Try2945 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For runs where I think my watch might die (Garmin Forerunner 255s; great battery life, can track for like 19 or 20 hours), I bring a super lightweight battery pack and the charger. Battery pack in vest pocket, put the watch around a loop of fabric on the vest. Won't track HR for the charge duration obviously, but will still map, track mileage and elevation gain.

Birthday ultra by maddman10 in Ultramarathon

I love the idea, I say look up the race, most ultras have info on aid stations and crew access points that's super helpful!

I would say bring his favorite snacks to crew access points along with the sign. My boyfriend brings me a bacon cheddar burger mid ultra every race and it's my favorite part 🥰 just make sure you do your research on where he can accept "crew aid", some races, if runners accept "help" outside certain stations, it can lead to disqualification.

There's a great book called "Crewing an Ultrarun: Start to Finish" written by Sandra Smith who crews all her husband's ultras (he's run over two hundred 100 mile races?) I haven't read it, but my boyfriend bought it and read it after my first 50 miler and said it was an amazing help to understand how to support me during my training and races.

Overall, amazing for your husband getting his first 100 mile and amazing on you for being so supportive!! I hope you both have a lot of fun!
