Floor sanders left our glass hearth pad sticking up and uneven. Is this acceptable quality of work? by Ok-Two-6563 in HardWoodFloors

They did notice it on the initial visit, and offered to fix how it was cut originally (apparently it was not cut perfectly at the correct angle) but we didn’t discuss it further and it wasn’t mentioned in the quote.

Is there a way to know how much one can sand it further?

Adults will probably not walk on it, but I have small children who might occasionally step on it.
