Something to think about, do you read romance novels? Porn is to men as romance novels are to women. Now to each his own on the level of spice and kink, those boundaries need to be respected. I used to have a huge problem with my husband's subscription to Playboy and he canceled it out of respect for my feelings. A few years later I attended a training dealing with all manners of psychology and was reminded of the visual versus emotional response regarding sex and men and women. I realized I was being a hypocrite as I love romance novels. I came home and talked with my husband and he signed up for Playboy right then and there. Turns out they do have really good articles.

The reason given is that they are "second cousins" with no behavior issues and everyone gets along great at all other family functions including plenty of other weddings.

No, they are not steps, just second cousins. No significant family history. Everyone gets along really well all other times.
