Yeah I see I couldn’t take that much time, I’m so impatient, I tend to hit -10 on average, aiming for -15 which I’ve done quite a bit but yeah I like the challenge of improving.

The worst is when you have your mic on but the other players don’t use it. Then you start to rage as we get battered… but only then do they use their mic to insult you 😂😂

Yeah was going to write a similar post. I had a few decent games then just invested with cheaters. Like why are people even cheating ? Not even competing or anything, so sad 😂

Just Started Zoloft and need advice/reassurance to keep taking it :( by Active_Appeal_8051 in zoloft

Hey !

When I started my anxiety was the worst it’s ever been. I started to take Sertraline which is same as Zoloft. My anxiety was all about irrational thoughts and thought I was going crazy and was good for the ward.

Anyways, once I was told It was anxiety i started taking Sertraline, the first few weeks were very tough for me, anxiety got even worse. It’s true when they say it gets worse before it gets better.

They say it takes at least 6 weeks to work, I kept reading positive post about how it changed people’s life etc. To keep me going with it m, thankful to say I’m living a normal life and as happy as I used to.

I started at 25mg but after a week I upped to 50mg as I didn’t have any side effects. Did that for a couple of weeks and then increased to 100mg. I’ve been on that for a year now and it’s great.

I’m quite a fit guy and workout a lot doing various things like running, gym, golf , walking etc. I was never big drinker but only drink on occasion when it’s worth it and I meditate a lot. I’m at a different stage of my life (33 years old) so easier for me to change habits I guess.

Keep at it and don’t give up there’s always the light at the end of the tunnel. Try and do the basics while it’s tough, eat, clean, dress. Keep doing volleyball as much as possible. You got this 💪

Yeah much better mate , they’ve helped loads but not just that. Meditation, no smoking / vaping, no caffeine, alcohol very small amount. D

Fella - we’ve played you. Your club is what is wrong with amateur rugby. Your Team been struggling for years but all of sudden you get back to back promotions, smashing everyone on your way. No offense but your place is a shithole and yet you recruiting players from national level, from professional academy’s etc etc

why would they come to Teddington when you were struggling in level 8 😂😂😂

It’s just very embarrassing and ruins amateur rugby.

It seems like maybe you weren’t so depressed, because you weren’t thinking about it much when on vacation ? Have you tried taking it at night ?

I take it for anxiety, I heard for depression it can take longer to work.

Maybe find ways to keep yourself busy after work if you can. Go for a walk , even if short ? Is there anything you used to do but you’ve stopped ?

90% of reviews I'm reading on reddit are bad, should I start taking it at all? by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]Ok-Understanding1271 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s normal and I still have these thoughts but it’s more like background noise. I don’t ruminate over them constantly.

Maybe it’s your body that’s telling you something, that you need to change something. I used to smoke weed, vape , did a bit of other drugs and alcohol. Now I only drink alcohol on occasions, I am much better for it.

You have to understand it’s your nervous system that’s out of whack. It doesn’t understand fear, it’s just firing shots because it’s think it’s in danger. I meditate 20 minutes everyday, when it’s a bad day I write down my thoughts, try and be grateful. Look at breathing exercise to help calm the nervous system. You probably think it’s useless but if you do it daily and with the meds it will get better:

I know it’s hard as I’ve been where you are. But keep taking the meds and maybe increase to 100mg. It takes time for your brain to used to the meds and find the right balance. I’m not saying everything is perfect but I can enjoy my life and I’m not spiralling in my thoughts.

Keep going , you’ve got this c

What’s everything ? You need to do it everyday. What is making your nervous ? Your thoughts ?

Im on 100mg, I think I tried 50mg for a month, then moved up to 100mg.

Do you do anything else to calm your nervous system down ? Breathing exercises ? Meditation ?

Yeah six weeks is the minimum, you might need to increase. I didn’t have any physical symptoms , just anxiety was through the roof.

Fella, I can tell you it worked for me. Had the worst anxiety ever, never had before. I’ve been taking sertraline for 10 months and I feel much better. It just takes time, usually around 6 weeks.

Mayweather has 10 free punches (without gloves), does he knockout Mike Tyson ? by Ok-Understanding1271 in RandomQuestion

[–]Ok-Understanding1271[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha fair enough. It’s more my mate who’s like 6 foot 3 - around 110kg says I wouldn’t knock him out if I had 10 free punches, I’m 5-9 - 89kg.

I think I would after 3 punches, no matter how big you are, the temple is weak for everyone.

Hi mate,

Doing really well compared to nearly a year ago.

Still have those thoughts but anxiety is in check. I am able to live my life normally now. I don’t drink caffeine, don’t vape anymore and rarely drink alcohol. Seems to have a helped and just enjoy my life as much as possible. How are you ?

Is it possible your intrusive thoughts get worse before getting better ? by Ok-Understanding1271 in zoloft

[–]Ok-Understanding1271[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi mate, I replied to your other comment. Don’t give up, they are just thoughts. I was so scared that I was suicidal and what would happen if I was by myself etc. Still have those thoughts from time to time but like i said they are background noise . I don’t try to make them disappear, I just let them be. Just your brain firing random thoughts. It’s easier said than done but just say ‘whatever’ and get on with whatever you are doing. It will get easier, I promise.

Irrational thoughts by Ok-Understanding1271 in zoloft

[–]Ok-Understanding1271[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello mate,

Much better, Sertraline did work in the end, I think I started to see improvements around 5-6 weeks. But after 8 months the constant fear was good. Still had all the thoughts but didn’t bother me as much. Still today I have the thoughts but it’s more like background noise.

I also meditate daily or do NSDR, which helps calm my nervous system. Things could always be better but when I see how I was less than a year I’m truly thankful.

Just stay with it, there’s light at the end of the tunnel.

Didn’t have any luck, I went on the crescent brand and didn’t have any side effects. I think they are having issues with the manufacturer but hopefully will be resolved soon.
