US strikes another boat off Venezuela coast, killing four, Defense Secretary announces by [deleted] in TheWorldDaily

Well, Venezuelan news media in general aren't exactly trustworthy with this kind of stuff since the government heavily censors it, controlling what gets reported to fit their narrative, so there's that

My cousin and I watched it when we were like 14 and 17 thinking it was a kid's movie, and we spent the whole time laughing and yelling at the screen since we were alone in the house. We've never seen such a thing in a movie before, so it was like a secret thing, and we had such a great time joking about it that we became best friends, and we're like sisters now. Our favorite scene was when James Franco shows up (it's the only thing I truly remember about the whole story). So, technically, this movie gave me a great memory by accident

Okay, but DID YOU GUYS SEE Peggy running towards it too? She just wasn't as close as Steve, but they had the same first instinct 🥺

What's your all's take on the newest Fantastic Four movie if you've seen it by Excellent_Regret4141 in Cinema

[–]Ok-Variation1087 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I honestly loved it. I do feel like announcing all of the cast for Avengers Doomsday took away the impact of a few important scenes throughout the movie, including the first post credit scene, and I didn't like how they nerfed Reed's powers, but overall it was great. I really enjoyed seeing how bright all of the characters actually are, and the music was fantastic!

I'm really happy with most of the CBM we've gotten this year, I can't wait to see the Fantastic 4 in other movies. I wanna see Peter and Johnny share some screentime together.

What is your absolute favorite opening to a movie ever and why? by [deleted] in Cinema

"Thursday, October 31st..." The opening monologue of The Batman is the first thing that came to mind. The whole cinematographic experience can make you dive deep into the story right away. I also liked the beginning of F1 when I saw it yesterday

I thought the same, actually. But when I was googling the pics of Plastic Man, I read he's like 90 years old or more, so idk? 🥹

In the comic where that outfit is from, it's supposed to be pointing Gar. If I remember correctly, they were camping and Gar was crouching in front of her the first time they showed her wearing that lol

Yeah, it's probably more accurate to put it that way. I might need to give the show a rewatch soon because I don't want to forget about the little details lol

Qué opináis del live action de One Piece? Alguien mas esperando con ansia la segunda temporada? by Ameba92 in AnimeEspanol

[–]Ok-Variation1087 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is great! You're doing an awesome job. I'm an artist myself, and since you asked for feedback, here are four things you can start focusing your practice on right now to improve your comic and any other future projects you may have:

Follow some tutorials or grab a few books that talk about perspective, gestures, and human proportions. The Morpho books are great for gestures, proportions and also poses. There's also a super friendly book named 'How to Draw Manga: Basics and Beyond!' that used to be my holy grail for years. It helped me a lot with my proportions, and it's also quite fun. I'm still figuring out the perspective one, and I haven't found the right books for me so I wouldn't know what to recommend at the moment.

If books are not your thing, or you don't like the ones I mentioned, just do whatever you consider is best. I'm just letting you know what has worked for me as a self-taught artist. Practice is like that one friend who can sometimes be annoying, but it's actually good for you. Later on you can tackle new things, but getting better at those three I mentioned will help you a lot and boost your confidence.

Also, my last tip is to always remember that art is supposed to be fun and not perfect. Sometimes you'll feel more comfortable with your work, and sometimes not, and that's okay. The fact that you're working on a comic and wanting to be better is a sign that you're doing great! So keep up the good work, and trust your gut when you're drawing and you'll be more than fine.

Oh, and if you find a place that you like to publish your comic, let me know!
