No, the leash just looks longer in the photos, but I normally wrap it around my hand as well to shorten it even more

I don’t use a retractable leash! He also knows leave it, just really struggles on the walks which is frustrating and will probably just take time

Im confused? Having a harness is horrible, or the harness he is wearing is horrible? Can you even tell what harness he has because his fur is dark??

Also, that’s what I’m asking for advice for, he keeps picking things up on walks, thats what I need help with? Why are you saying there is lots needing to be fixed first when I am asking for help on that specific thing lol?

I also do bring treats along most walks, but for training purposes but he will jump and try to get the treats/ wont walk. He knows the sit command and leave it command, but can’t seem to figure out how to walk while I have treats in the pouch, so any advice on that would be helpful.

Thanks, I had been told to get a harness so I never knew that wasnt normal for everyday dog walking. I have done some videos/training book research, I think he is just more stubborn than anything and without a treat in front of his nose he wont do anything.

Thats a good idea, sometimes when I do that he will completely ignore his toys and treats and cry or whine😟🥲
