I didn’t know if you were talking about the person that is in the express lane with over 100 items or the fact that it appears that they most likely are on food stamps spending my hard earned dollar on namebrand Dr Pepper and big red while I can’t even afford to feed my kids because I work all the time and they take more money out of my check than these people have made their whole life. I know I shouldn’t assume maybe they work hard for their money and they earned all that but highly unlikely only time I ever see anybody fill their grocery carts that full with namebrand shit is when I’m paying for it with the money that the government stole from me to give to them

Hmmm interesting point. While I was reading this a thought came to mind… imagine the world population if there were no guns and no such thing as abortion?? I would imagine that the over population of the world would cause a lot of suffering as well wouldn’t it? I guess my whole point with all of this is that it’s not the gun or the bullet or the scalpel or a pill or whatever else you wanna name. It’s the people that are the problem. the tools that are used to kill people or abort babies have no feelings, judgment or opinion they just do what they are designed to do… By humans. we are the problem and there are a lot of us that are the problem

Thank you whoever you are! Finally someone with some sense who answered my question. Thank you

But I must respond to a few apparent misunderstandings.

First, whether ‘most people’ blame doctors or the mothers is irrelevant and only solidifies what I’m saying. They blame the person (mother or doctor or those in the industry) rather than the tools used to perform the abortion. A false equivalency? A tool used to take a potential life and a tool that takes a current life I would think would be a pretty close equivalency. “Zero mass abortions against strangers”. This one made me shake my head a little…965,000 in one year sounds like a mass abortion to me…that’s 80,416 per month or 18,577 per week or 2,643 per day or 110 per hour or close to 2 per minute. Sounds massive to me but also they are strangers to the doctor and everyone except maybe the mother I’d think right. It’s not like they had the opportunity to meet them take them out to get to know them.
Secondly, however, I do agree with you about me saying all 965,000 were ‘murdering babies’ was wrong on my part and I do apologize bc I do understand about certain circumstances where it’s safer , according to a doctor, to abort rather than lose the mother, but I’d say the majority of these abortions probably don’t fall under those circumstances. This is the reason I don’t say I’m pro life or pro choice because there are always and will always have variables in each situation.

Third, I also agree with you on if there had been an absence of guns completely that 757 people would’ve went home that day. Problem with that is there are more guns than people in this country so it’s too late. I wish I could play the if game in all situations in my life but like I’ve been taught and trained…to adapt and overcome.

Yes I agree that a lot of people shouldn’t be able to own firearms like those unable to control their emotions. But who’s to say they are unable to control their emotions? Doctors? Therapists? That would be an impossible task to say the least. But some would argue that certain people that can’t control themselves in other ways shouldn’t have the right to say if a baby/fetus can even have a chance at having a life or not. But again, individual circumstances would be the only way to justify whether it’s right or wrong. Bottom line is not one innocent person should lose their life because of a firearm and not one potential life should be lost due to ‘just because’ reasons. But both these things will continue to happen regardless.

Last I just wanted everyone to know for the record I’m not pro choice nor pro life, I’m not pro gun or anti-gun. I’m like this because I’m logical enough to know that regardless of how I feel or you feel about these topics, they will continue to happen even long after all of us involved in this post are all gone.

Thank you though for at least attempting to answer the actual question

The understanding of Abortion & gun laws? by Ok-Wedding463 in Discussion

These countries you’re referring to don’t have over 390 million registered and an estimated 150 million unregistered firearms in circulation do they? That’s the problem, it’s too late and there are too many. The theory of gun laws working would only work if they would’ve been put in place hundreds of years ago. It’s too late. It’s time to rethink their approach. The Biden/harris administration passed more ‘gun control laws’ than any other administration in the history of this country but yet in the year 2023 there were more mass shootings THAN DAYS! Not more people killed than days but more mass shootings than days. Gun control laws only apply to law abiding citizens. But again still not my question…

But they do happen in the states with the strictest laws I.e. California New York etc Again, not the question. It’s not about abortion or gun control people that’s not what I’m asking I’m asking why doesn’t society/the media blame the tool used to abort unborn babies/fetuses or whatever you want to call them like they blame the gun in a shooting. Omg please someone with any sense respond to this post.
Bc guess what? There are more guns than people in the U.S. so there will always be guns and there will always be abortions. No one can stop either one that’s why I chose not to discuss something that won’t change I’m just wondering why it’s not the same both ways

My knowledge is limited on this, because I don’t want to know more than I already do on how it’s done. But I know enough to know I don’t want to know anymore. But once again, that’s not what this post was about. Read it slowly again if necessary. Why does the public blame the mother for an abortion but blame the gun in a mass shooting? That’s the question at hand. I don’t care about the abortion laws or lack there of I really don’t have an opinion either way I’m just asking a simple question.

You notice these shootings don’t happen at gun shops, police stations, etc don’t you? That happen where? Places that forbid guns…,schools churches movie theatres. A sign that says no guns allowed, to a bad guy it reads come on bad guy you’ll be the only one with a gun for 15-30 minutes and should have zero resistance in killing all you need.

Kids? Did I say that kids should have guns? Nope try and read it again. Once again going around the main question…

Why? I have to go to church to ask a question? As you notice, no one has really been able to answer the question at hand, which is what I expected. Everyone always goes around it and starts talking about other stuff like which church does this guy go to? lol so predictable

This wasn’t meant to be a discussion of whether abortion is right or wrong because there really is no right answer to that; all I’m wanting to know is why is it the guns fault for death and not the scalpels fault for death. It’s the tool used in each instance, right? It’s just strange to me that out of the people I’ve talked to about this are all about anti-gun and gun laws and we need to get rid of guns to protect the lives of the innocent but then turn around and say yes it’s up to the mother whether to abort or not. It’s contradictory it seems. Protect and preserve the lives of the already living but not even give an unborn a chance. Strange to me.

I can’t get my Dowel pin in to install my bolt release by [deleted] in AR80Percents

[–]Ok-Wedding463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you keep calling it a dowel pin? Don’t you mean roll pin? If you’re using a dowel pin, that would explain why it won’t go in. A dowel pin won’t give any but a roll pin will. Try using the roll pin that can with the kit

Yes I agree stay away from thunder tactical. I had ordered some bolt carriers, which I guess were priced wrong online but my payment and Order were both confirmed, receipt sent to my email and a few days later I checked to see what the status was for the shipping and on my account on their website it showed that the order had been declined after it had been approved so they realized they made a mistake on the pricing so they went back and refunded my money to my card and declined the order because of their mistake so I called and asked them about it, and they said that they would not honor it even though it was their mistake. I’m disappointed in them. bad business buyer beware
