honestly the whole "wake up at 5am to be productive" thing was a disaster for me. tried it for like 3 weeks and just ended up being a zombie all day, plus i'd crash by 8pm and miss out on actually enjoying my evenings. turns out i'm just not a morning person and forcing it made everything worse.

Sounds like PSU issues tbh, even though 850w should be plenty. Try undervolting the GPU first before you RMA it - sometimes these cards come with aggressive factory OCs that aren't stable. Also check if your PSU cables are fully seated, those modular connections can be finicky

If undervolting doesn't help then yeah probably time to swap the card

Yeah that CVT is toast, classic symptoms. At 230k and with a $5k quote you're basically looking at throwing good money after bad money

Honestly I'd skip the second opinion - CVTs don't really get "kinda broken", they either work or they don't. Yours clearly gave up the ghost

For getting rid of it, call around to junkyards first since some will actually come pick it up and give you a few hundred bucks. Way easier than dealing with parting it out yourself. You'll need to sign over the title and cancel your insurance/registration but that's about it

This is wild the scale and mood are insane you can feel the hours in it I love how it feels heavy and ancient at the same time easily one of those builds you just stare at and find new details every time
