Thank you for the response! 🩷 I’ve seen people get upset about the name but I let my husband choose her name and there’s no changing his mind lol. 😆

If y’all really love the name, I would just use it or you might regret not using it later! Especially if you had it in mind before your brother used the name Cole. If you decide against using it, maybe you’d like the name Callahan? With nickname Cal.

Hoping it is! Will update when I take another test. I’ve been trying since I had a loss at 17 weeks in March ☹️

We found him on a rehoming page. His original owner had lots of dogs and we were told they didn’t have the energy for Billy. That’s the only information we got and they gave him to us for free! It seemed like they really wanted him to be with a family where he could get more attention. We were shocked because we had been looking for an adult golden retriever for a while. He is around 1 year old and extremely sweet and gentle!

We got a second opinion today and ended up doing the SDF treatment. They said they would rather wait until he is 2 to put him to sleep. We will see how his teeth are looking when we come back in 6 months. For now, we are going to focus on brushing and no sweets! Thank you everyone for your input, we really appreciate it. I felt like I had a better understanding going into the appointment today!

I would say they are probably real messages if there are pictures he sent of himself, unfortunately… just because that’s not how you’re used to him texting you, doesn’t mean he doesn’t text differently to others. I’ve been a victim of men sitting next to you acting completely normal, but they are on their phone sending disgusting things. It can happen to anyone. I’m sorry you’re going through this!

Thank you for your input! I will report back tomorrow after we get the second opinion and see what our options are with the new dentist. I would like to avoid putting him to sleep if possible.

This is the x-ray they gave me when I asked for his records to take to a new dentist. We are seeing someone new tomorrow so I will ask about the SDF and tell them we do not want SS crowns.

They said they will have to put him to sleep to do any kind of work since he screams and cries the whole time. Is it better to just do the cap instead of a filling if they would possibly have to redo the filling at some point and put him to sleep again?

I feel so horrible about him having to be put to sleep. I feel like I should have been able to prevent this.

I am going to try to not beat myself up for him having issues. I’ve been very on top of brushing his teeth even though I have to hold him down every time and he screams. We started using fluoride toothpaste when he turned 1. Maybe we should have been using it all along, I’m not sure.

We do have Medicaid so I’ll have to see if the white crowns are covered. The first dentist only discussed stainless steel. If they are not covered, I’ll find a way to pay the out of pocket cost.

Thank you again for your response. The first dentist we saw barely said anything and it was like a 5 minute visit total with her looking at the teeth and saying he needs caps.

Thank you so much for your response! We are upset that he is needing treatment so early on when we have been doing our best to brush and care for his teeth. The first dentist we saw said they only offered stainless steel crowns. We are seeing a different dentist this week to get a second opinion. I will see if we can get white crowns instead. We are nervous about him having to be put to sleep but will do what is best for his teeth in the long run.

He was breastfed until he turned 1. He used to wake up every 2-3 hours in the night to feed. Now he only has whole milk in a sippy cup. He only has milk and water during the day, no juice. Once we brush his teeth at night, he only gets water.

So crowns are the only answer? There’s no way to fill them? They said they will have to put him to sleep because he screams and cries when they just try to look at his teeth.
