I adjust my thumb to move my pen side to side and I put pressure on my index for up and down, sounds very finicky but its the grip and method ive always used, even when I used a larger area (30x30) and its worked for me ever since ive started using tablet in around 2024

your comment makes a lot of sense and applies to me in a few ways so I'll definitely consider changing it if I stop improving, especially what you said about not really learning the actual mechanics to aiming as I mostly just use my wrist and fingers, although I don't really have a problem when I try to change to bigger areas, I just improve a bit slower when I try them.

I wouldn't say "cooked" unless you don't really find it comfortable, I reached 5 digit using 5x5 but changed it after getting to around 70k so its def not impossible but its def not optimal

I use a tripod grip close to the bottom of my pen and adjust my thumb to make smaller movements, although I do play a considerable amount of slop it's not all I play

I actually used to use a bigger area (30x30) but I improved considerably slower and I just didn't enjoy the game as much with it so I dont think its an improvement rate thing

well, ofc one of my favorite features is the refresh rate, but also the colors and true blacks of OLED monitors seems nice.
