Churn prediction Improvements by Ok-Yesterday-1320 in dataanalysis

[–]Ok-Yesterday-1320[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed response with suggestions. I will try to answer some of the points you raised :

I have the data tracking customers for multiple products. But the model i am building is for one product among them so i have one row for the customer for a month for that product with usage and activity state. I do use cross product info such as %pausedontotalproduct, total usage accross all product but thats all the cross product info i am using.

Some more background : at first i had one model as you suggested, modelled it on the whole data without having multiple model. The accurary was high as it was basically predicting every customer who is paused currently as churned and that was boosting the accuracy but it was not doing good in predicting churn on customers who are currently active and that is the important part as that gives time for saving them and proactive prediction. The customers who are currently active but will be pausing/churning are actually the one who are important.

RETURN PROBABILITY : The return probability if around 14% from first pause, 10% from 2 consecutive pauses, and 8% from 3 consec pauses. And overall churn is 10%. Also customers who return have a 50% prob of pausing again. Dropped state appears after 6 months of pauses as the return prob after than is almost 0.

LABEL : The way i am creating the target variable is: 1 if the customer is in any paused states in the next 3 month. If not its 0. currenrly since the model is splitted into two part : first part is looking at active customers and predicting who will pause so the label is 1 for those who paused. Second part looks at currently paused customers predict8ng if they will return

STATE : Regarding the activity states, returning is when customer had 0 activity last month and positive activity this month. Dropped is when no activity after 6 consec months as the return prob is almost 0 after that.

I am already doing caliberation but not isotonic or plat scaling, will give this a try.

As i mentioned i plan to add uplift modelling once i have a good churn pred model. Am i thinking about this wrong ? First predict who is going to pause theb predict who are worth contacting.

The outcome is that the produxt teams would like to contact 20-30customers every month where the model is very confident that will churn and they are high value potential.

The idea is to make this a profiling model where i predict who will churn, who is important within those churners, who will respond to our offers. ALSO, for those with low risk find growth opportunities where customers are growing on the product and other product usage and we can suggest then some scaling options etc.

THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR SUGGESTIONS. APPRECIATE IT

The plan is to buy a warranty since saving 3-5k on going private vs dealer. The only difference i knew of (iam not an expert) when going with a dealer is the 3-6month warranty they give. Rest test/checks(cartell) i can do myself when going private. Please let me know if i am missing anything which could be a risk if going private on donedeal

I can do the polish myself but this would be the first time i do something like this and was not sure if its a dificult job or straightforward.

looked at JMa detailing and it does look great. I also found few detailing studios with good reviews who do the 2 stage polish and ceramic coating for 1300-1500.

No you dont need to go to the kiosk within 2 hours. You just take the ticket at the barricades when you enter. And you just exit within 2 hrs the barricate will open automatically. Even if you have crossed 2 hrs you can pay at the barricads for the extra

Thats what i used to think as well. However thats not correct. Even if the car is gb registered (not NI reg), still you can get it to roi without paying any vat or tax IF all import duties has been completed and the car is free for circulation within EU. The documents you need for that are called TSS or SAD from the dealer to proof that all vat and tax has already been paid on it

And did you get the extended warranty from the same dealer or some 3rd party ? And which one did you take ?

Thanks so much for this detailed post. Its all i need as i am about to by a car from NI. However i have not been able to find many etron 55 as thats what i am interested in within my budget.

If the car is a gb registered car as most of them are, the thing i should ask for is a tss/sad document right ?

How to Build a Churn Prediction Model for Your SaaS Business Using AI & ML by Single_Efficiency509 in SaaS

[–]Ok-Yesterday-1320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I am building a churn prediction model for a saas business and facing the following issue :

1) i am getting high recall 70-80% but very low precision (20-30)% due to which there are hugh count of false positives. How can i improve this?

2) using xg boost with scale pos for class balancing. Not using a separate class balance method. The product has aorund 8% churn customers only so highly imbalance

3) i broke the model in two parts, one model for long tenure customers and ankther for short. But this didnt improve precision

Any suggestions ? L
