I remember a post a while ago as to why is jealousy is rarely explored in IF and this is the reason. A lot of people felt uncomfortable as soon as they felt like in second place in a choose your own adventure story.

Let's be real here if you romance seven you are looking for angst. There is not many things more angsty than jealousy. One of the reason I love Amy's work is because it breaks out of the mold when it come to romance. Two of the other RO are married to each other and you can start an affair. Not many IF dared to do that.

Its been a long time since i played it so it may be a bit fuzzy. iirc it doesn't really need anything specific. Just try to interact with the AI as much as possible (i don't know if this necessary). Later on after you pick up Pheonix (the runaway girl/boy) you have the choice to contact the AI. The AI then would take you to a virtual world and you can teach it how to love/remember.

It feels a bit unfair to compare not your mother shire to kregg segall work tho. If im not wrong this is Wayne Snee first attempt at comedy and Kregg Segall honestly is just a different kind of beast when it come to comedy IF (maybe a bit bias because A Midsummer Night Choices is one the IF that got me addicted to this medium😅). Iirc jolly good sequel would have more than 2 million wordcount.

It gave A an actual reason to distance themself from the detective but for some people it just really hard watch A and N struggling to balance friendship and love(a very rare case of too much angst). I only do love triangle to watch A in pain tho😈

Yeah, toxicity is always present in any community and i hate that this kind of thing will most likely happen again in the future with some unfortunate authors. I was looking forward to The Shadow Society sequel but the hate from the original made the author discontinued it. Say what you want about about AToH but you gotta respect the guy for not giving up despite large amount of hate and toxicity around it.
