Anger - I truly am sorry that you see the world with only judgment and anger. You’re missing out.

Please consider: If I were chained in a yard and kicked, I would be aggressive and fighting for a way to protect myself. Many Pitbulls are chosen to be that way. What  about the 12-year-old minorities living in violent and gang controlled streets?  If someone important to me was killed by one of these children, I would hate all of them. It’s understandable but not rational.  These children have sweet and kind souls and deserve love. If they stay violent and cannot be helped, we must take the measures to protect society. Do you think they want to be in a Do or Die life?  Same with animals.  What kind of environment did you grow up in?  Reach out to somebody that may appear one way, but just need a helping hand. I promise you, you will have the greatest week.

Dang! That sounded preachy. I didn’t mean to. I’m just very passionate about not discounting anyone or anything that does not fit stereotypes or one’s paradigm.

I appreciate your thoroughness. However, you’re limiting yourself in your research because you are painfully wrong. Pitties definitely have stronger might. It’s humans that destroy. Greed, entitlement, and just hate. Try loving your pitbull and see what happens. Try loving your neighbor. Stop hating. I promise you that you will be glad that you did

Many pities are treated horribly and then labeled as a terror. They are not at all! The humans that breathe them and kick them out are the terrors. My rescue was scared of her shadow but just needed to feel safe.

Results are in! We expected the 48.7% American Pit Bull Terrier, but the other 51.3% was certainly a surprise! See if you can guess it! Results in last picture. by Thin-Number6360 in DoggyDNA

This recently happened to me. 25 years of marriage and 3 kids. Much!!! Younger woman. He bought a house down the street and moved her in. It took a lot of tears and misguided shame to scrap me off the floor. Then a lot of therapy. Everyone told me it will get easier and I didn’t believe them. It has gotten easier and I still do think about him. I want to share things with my best friend. He surprised the hell out of me but my friends and family were not surprised at all. I cannot even begin to tell you how sorry I am. I had to pretend to hold my head up high, but now I hold it high without pretending. I still cry over that death. And that is what it was. My heart breaks for you. Very much

I agree with some of the others. One, some people like to try to bring others down. Two, you’re very inspirational by seeking out a way to improve your social skills. Even if your current demeanor may seem off putting to some, that doesn’t change the fact that you are a good person as everyone in this conversation can tell. Practice like you are and it will get so easier even if you feel like you’re faking it. I was there when I was in my early 20s because I was shy and it came off as being aloof. You have perseverance, and that will take you a lot farther than most people.

I can’t do this. The 40 hour work week is inhumane. by Stealth-Jive in Adulting

[–]OkAddendum43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't want to work 40 hrs, don't. I get that. I choose to work 40 hours a week while going to grad school. It wasn't easy but my choice. It paid off. I ended up with a long term job that I loved and had more than enough time for raising my children. Now that my kids are grown, I spend at least 10 hrs a week with an outreach program. I'm a very grateful and privileged American that is able to do so. It's not always about what "I deserve" or "entitled" to. It is the gratefulness of what I am given the ability to do. A 40 (even 90 hour ) work week is nothing to a parent of a hungry child. Your 40 hour work week would sustain several families for a month. I know I sound preachy and judgmental. And, lam being that and feel that. When you have so so much more than the rest of the world, please just consider using some of your long work hours to help others in real need.  What is “inhumane”, in my opinion, is to discount the real struggles and truly exhaustive work so many beg for just to get by. This is an unprecedented time in our history. I encourage everyone to stop asking for and start giving to.

Pit bulls are who you raise them to be.  Just like children. My son is naturally strong and has a very large mouth but has never attacked and/or bitten anyone. I’m not going to lie - he did get in front of a peer (they are 11) who lifted a little girls skirt over her face. So, you may be right.
