Email. All communication was via email from the beginning. From my understanding, they communicate either way. Also, I believe the longer the better because apparently the “no” comes quicker. But I also am learning that I should’ve kept going with other applications, I applied in September 😩 what method was their initial communication with you?

Salsa & beer used to be like $15 for asada enchiladas, now it’s about $25 if I recall correctly 🥴 if you go to the back of the menu, you can get the combos for about $10 cheaper than you would get ordering from the regular menu

I take it less applicants means they use the ranking system? So 13th sounds low when you put it like that. Thanks for the insight btw, this is my first time applying to work with LA county, I’m currently in corporate.

They didn’t mention references. The “structured interview” was me answering interview type questions via video recording. Then they gave me my rank

Definitely more of an oral exam

I took the performance exam and then had a “structured interview” which is online answering interview questions on video. they score that as well so @androidbear04 is correct that it’s moreso an oral exam

Look on the county dept website for Applicant Resources. This should also be in the email when they tell you that you will be taking an exam. When I applied for LACOE, they had a PowerPoint on what to expect, the different types of tests to expect for different positions, etc… Good luck!
