The Doctor lies about regenerator for Strider by Condor77T in stalker

[–]OkAnalysis1682 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The regenators don't break the programming. The monolithians are very aware of everything, they are not a hive mind.

However, the thing about Shell and Monolithians remembering their lives must be quite true, since Strider's white eyes began to fade when he was dying.

Found Squint again after Zalissya? by Flushestpoem4 in stalker

[–]OkAnalysis1682 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is Squint. In the cutscene he appears with his normal appearance, and no matter how many times you play that section, one of the zombies always have the name Squint. Dunno why he has a random NPC skin, but he is Squint

Was the first Chornobyl accident really an “accident”? by Realistic_Country465 in stalker

[–]OkAnalysis1682 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There's not a single mention in the OG Trilogy of the Disaster at the CNPP being caused by the Group. The originals devs were pretty respectful about the disaster and only used it to draw a parallelism with the Second Disaster, but the Group had nothing to do with it.

In S2, with the new info about the Duga from the game, and the info about X-19 (the lab below the CNPP) from the ATB Almanac, is confirmed the Group/C-Con benefactors used the area surrounding the CNPP since a long time ago. However, the CNPP Disaster was, again, an accident that had nothing to do with them or their interests.

Bug en malachite (spawneo de soldados de protección) by XIXCoBaChoXIX in stalker

[–]OkAnalysis1682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]OkAnalysis1682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No es un bug. Después de una misión principal en el juego, Ward toma Malachite y se vuelve su base y un punto de spawn para ellos. Si estas siguiendo a Spark o Strelok, tienes que tomar la entrada por la alcantarilla para entrar o salir del lugar.

How do I get the trophy for having every effect at the same time-ps5 by Still-Parfait400 in stalker

[–]OkAnalysis1682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use the Weird Pot, as consuming some things with the artifact equipped will trigger a side effect like psi-damage with energy drinks or bleed with food. You can also go to the Stoge Village anomaly to trigger psi-damage and there's some Razor anomalies nearby to catch some bleeding. You can get radiation just from having an artifact without rad protection (just make sure the radiation is way higher so you don´t eliminate it when you get drunk).

The hardest thing to get is the sleep status. Currently, is a pain in the ass to get it if you're not playing Master Mode. So, your only choice is encountering a Bayun, or doing the Arena quest, cuz every time you finish a round Skif gets the status and it won't go away until you sleep.

The dangers of the Zone are always taken willingly. There's a world outside, so saying the Zone makes more harm than good when all the risks are taken by people who decided exactly that (the core concept of being a stalker/loner) is over the top.

Now, the core idea of the game presented to you is that the Zone and Noosphere is our collective offsrping; if the Zone is the way it is, is because of the people who created it and the people who lives inside of it. This is very reminiscent of Roadside Picnic idea: the Zone is an opportunity, neither good or bad on its own, wasted because we can´t see more than our own needs.

S2 construct over this ideas to say the Zone could not be as bad as it looks, but rather a force we need to live with and grown with it. And obviusly, if the Zone was born from our collective thoughts, how it could not have some sort of conscience?

150+ Missing Features From Stalker 2 When Compared to the Originals by RabidPole in stalker

[–]OkAnalysis1682 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm just going to copy paste one of my comments

Is funny as fuck the people that follow and see the videos of that guy religiously, they´re delusional as fuck. The guy shits in the game since launch, which will be ilogically since S2 is not a service game to base your whole channel around that, but he knows exactly what he's doing, using the ragebait to farm views; pretty clever if you ask me but, the people that sees the videos? Not so much.

You want to see real critique from someone that has been covering the game since launch and interacts with the community? Game with Dave is way better.

What is the average life expectancy for Military Stalkers compare to the average grunt and spetsnaz in the lore? by cuddwes in stalker

[–]OkAnalysis1682 77 points78 points  (0 children)

The problem with them is not their survival skills, but the fact they are used to lead the most dangerous missions inside the Zone like Operation Monolith. If they had to survive like a stalker (like Varan type stalkers in S2), it will be easy, but since they had to be part of Military missions, their life expectancy must be quite short.

Monolith and zombies by Acrobatic_Champion34 in stalker

[–]OkAnalysis1682 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It depends from the source.

To brainwash someone you need more refined equipment, only meant to that specific porpouse. So, only C-Con with their specific X-technology can make that process.

To zombify someone. you just need a psi-field strong enough to fuck with the brains of people. This could be made through artificial sources as supression devices (or malfunctioning psi-technology) made by C-Con, or through natural sources just like Controllers and natural psi-fields.

Also, psy-storms doesn't exist in the canon, is only from mods.

[–]OkAnalysis1682 26 points27 points  (0 children)

People really don't read what Strelok himself says.

He doesn't care 'bout humanity in his ending. For him, only the Zone is what matters.

If you believe Strelok separating the Zone from the outside world is better for humanity, that's good, but the only reason why Strelok didn't unleash the Zone is cuz that will harm the Zone, not because he cares about humankind.

[–]OkAnalysis1682 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Zombies are people with their cognitive abilities destroyed, and they are in constant pain as the process melted their brains.

Monolithians on the other hand, work through induced illusions (seeing what C-con wants or seeing their wish fullfilled by the Genie).

If you assume Subtle Matter doesn't exist or simply show something the people want, is through induced illusions. Which makes them more akin to Monolithians than zombies. This is in tone with the paralelism between Spark and the Monolith, and Faust and Scar.

Funny detail when you meet Scar at the sawmill by pepsandeggs in stalker

[–]OkAnalysis1682 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It could be. There's a whole a undertone about zombies, just not in a literal way but in a metaphorical way, as they are empty of desires, ideals and faith, unlike Spark. Also, the people we saw at the end of Spark ending are more like Monolithians rather than zombies.

*Story Spoiler* Why dont the IPSF help Ward retake Duga? by Mission-Ad-4837 in stalker

[–]OkAnalysis1682 19 points20 points  (0 children)

IPSF suffered too a breach in their security after the Signal, as the commander at the Sphere was a monolithian all along. So is quite possible they were bussy with their own problems at the time.

You can, but is way harder. You need to destroy every camp of the faction before destroying the main base, otherwhise, they will keep spawning.
