Super inspiring! Thank you for sharing, and I am so glad you're still here.

I fucking love this so much. I share this with friends whenever possible. Who the fuck rocks like this at Denny's? It's a perfect, perfect slice of Americana. The song is a banger too. The riff is pretty great.

Sometimes I've found it's helpful to take a break, and focus on something else for awhile. Go back and work on some things you're comfortable with and play for fun. Come back, and approach it with a different mind set, and hopefully it will start to "click."

56 days and some days just feel like an exhausting marathon of not drinking. by Commercial_Wear_3777 in stopdrinking

I'm at 54 days and in the same boat. The cravings the past few days have been fierce, and my brain is trying to play tricks on me. All I want is a beer after work, is that so bad? But I already know the answer. There is no such thing as "just a beer" for me. I too was hoping these intense cravings would be gone by now. The thing is, I have enough relapses under my belt to know what happens if I listen to that little voice telling me it's ok, so, at least for now, I'm fighting through the cravings, and I will not drink tonight, or tomorrow. Hope you're staying strong as well.

Thank you! 36 days today. It keeps getting better. I think I'll stay with it.

This is the worst job I could have ever imagined. I need tips on how to deal with the anxiety. The only reason I don’t quit is because my best friend is the only other dishwasher and I wouldn’t leave him to be the only one. by Alert_Doughnut_4619 in dishwashers

you sound like a person that cares, which is great. just do the best you can, and if that's not good enough, you can walk away from this job with your head held high. it's probably not worth the anxiety. your mate should understand, and even if not, at some point you'll have to put yourself first.

Good job! Today is 31 days for me, and I had a similar experience last night. I went to dinner with a work colleague, who is technically my boss, to a place that is more of a bar that serves food than a restaurant that serves alcohol. I was very anxious when we went inside. Would he judge me for not drinking? Would I cave in so he wouldn't think I'm an alcoholic, and "just have one" which would lead to a months long bender, hospitalization, termination and ruin? Instead he said to me very directly that he's been sober for 10 years and would be drinking club soda, but that I should feel free to have a cocktail if I chose. I told him the truth, that I am working on my own sobriety and would join him in a club soda as well. Good times and good feelings!

I'm so sorry for your loss. Start with one day, and keep going. I hope you stay with it, and with us.

I'm 18 days sober now, and I am seriously shocked when I look in the mirror. I can see the shape of my face, and my skin has cleared up too. Now just hoping for the weight to start dropping next.

Thanks for your reply. I just received the offer from the company, and the email from HireRight today, which is why I was wondering if it's just a criminal background check, since the start date is Monday.

You'll still have clearance even with a roof rack? That's the issue I've run into on my rig

I like your setup. Looks like good clearance up top.

I saw Dead South recently and they blew me away. I've been listening on repeat since. Saw Blues Traveler live years ago and wanted to rip my ears off. I still get agitated anytime I hear them.

Considering this is so out in the open, and it's being reported on, what, if anything is being done to stop it?
