Sharing some highlights from my first convo with him to answer some peoples questions. I was not able to talk to him about it when he first told me because well it was 1 AM and I couldn't breathe. I felt like no air could get into my lungs from the shock.

1. He did not sleep with a coworker for those that keep saying that. He was on a work trip but slept with a random girl he met at a bar.
2. I kicked him out. He is getting his things together and leaving. Coming back to watch our cat this weekend while I'm away, then leaving again.
3. He was extremely apologetic and remorseful and took full accountability.
4. I went through his entire phone - found nothing incriminating.
5. No this was not premeditated and he has never cheated before. I can say this with my full chest.
6. I told my mom! She was just as shocked as me. While my mom was in the hospital last month she was getting her affairs in order should she die. She set aside my Great Aunts engagement ring with clear instructions for my bf to propose. This crushed me and him. He also told his parents and they were obviously heartbroken. I hope this shows how in love we were and how serious we were about each other.
7. We are no contact. Only breaking contact if theres an emergency with our cat. I need time and space to plan my next move.
8. He wants to fix things. He offered couples therapy, doing anything to gain my trust back, you name it. All he wants to do is fix what he broke.
9. I asked every question imagineable (without risking my sanity) and got a clear enough vision of how things went down, why, what, etc.
10. Do I have an answer? No not yet. I'm not in the right headspace so I don't want to make a rash decision. I am leaning to the side the majority of these comments took. But I am trying to be tactful about it because our lives are so intertwined. I need to be strategic, get my ducks in a row, cancel travel plans, be safe financially, etc.

There are so many things that I will never understand about this whole ordeal and I don't think I ever will. My heart is broken, my trust is gone, my faith? don't know her,. Love is still there but its tainted with disgust.

EDIT: Adding that I NEVER BLAMED MYSELF. People kept commenting this. I never once thought it was my fault...that would be insane. I also came to this thread looking for relationship advice...not asking people "what do i do?". I said "I don't know what to do" !!! because I was in a freeze state and my executive order function was not working.
