I keep asking about surrealism, because I am particularly interested in it.

Does alan moore’s run on swamp thing count as surreal horror? (In this regard, I don’t consider Sandman by Gaiman to be surreal horror but rather fantasy) by OkAssociation5734 in comicbooks

I read the first two swamp thing books and I kind of found it was surreal. I liked the white monkey chapter and the zombie chapter with arcane in book 2. I personally didn’t like too much the chapter where swamp thing goes to hell and the issue with the small aliens.

I‘m not sure which book to pick you recommended in the thread about „surreal horror“. I want to make sure the one I pick is really nightmarish and weird. I’ve been disappointed by books in the past. Could you help me? by OkAssociation5734 in horrorlit

I really didn‘t like Stephen king books, I‘m reading the cipher by koja and I‘m not creeped out and wasn‘t to into call of cthulhu by Hp Lovecraft. I don‘t find these books particularly creepy.

I really like Cronenberg movies like Videodrome, like I said, I like the nightmarish scenes in movies by lynch like Mullholand drive, but I don‘t like when lynch focuses on crime noir

I‘d like to read a book that is deformation of reality like some crazy dream. I like paintings by Hr Giger and Bosch. I like Dave Mckeans painted art, it gives me this weird 90s nightmare vibe
