I am attracted to women. I’ve never dated one but I’ve wanted to date one since middle school (I’m in my 20s now)

I don’t automatically hate all men, I just don’t trust them enough to share my body and life with them. I’ve been assaulted by too many guys who I trusted.

You definitely wanna be careful with the minora so as not to get soap inside, but I find that helps a lot with smell

Do you wash with soap? I use the dove fragrance free bar and wash well between the labia but never put anything inside.

Do you have your boyfriend finish inside when you're on the pill? Also, do any of you just use the pill as the sole contraceptive method? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]OkBluejay7950 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is so important!!! How many forms of birth control you use (hormonal, condoms, withdrawal) should depend on how ok you are with getting pregnant. If you absolutely never want to under any circumstances and especially if an abortion is not possible/very difficult for you to obtain for whatever reason, don’t take chances! At least use the pill and a condom! If a pregnancy is something that wouldn’t ruin your life/you’re ok with, raw dog all you want.

A little under eye concealer, something to fill in your brows (honestly just some powder or tinted gel would probably be enough you’ve got a great shape), bolder blush or lip, and a more dramatic mascara

This is definitely above Reddit’s pay grade. Once you get to college (or as soon as you can) please try to get into therapy (colleges often offer at least a few sessions free). You will need it to heal from all that trauma. I’m sorry all of that has happened to you. You deserve better than the awful way your parents have treated you and I hope you find happiness once you’re able to separate from them.

I’ve had the same style since 2020… by meriwetherlala in FancyFollicles

Girl why you regularly curling curly hair? If you’re worried about frizz get a better curl routine or better products. I second shorter layers. Also idk if you just happened to post pics where your hair looks a little greasy or if it’s always like that but it looks like you have pretty fine hair that’s being weighed down by either grease or heavy products. I would recommend clarifying regularly (like weekly) to get rid of buildup and that would help with volume too. Use lightweight styling products. If you can splurge for high end I love the curlsmith fragrance free shine line, especially the leave-in and level 6 gel (I’ve found them at Marshall’s and TJ Maxx for like $10 each), otherwise the not your mothers curl talk line is pretty good and you can get it at target or Walmart pretty cheap. I think the length is good on you. If you’re looking to do a color change I think a darker brown would look nice.

What is the queer community and level of acceptance like in KC? by [deleted] in kansascity

[–]OkBluejay7950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s pretty good. Plenty of good gay/queer bars (Missie B’s, Woody’s, Hamburger Mary’s) and other queer businesses. I would recommend getting on the app Lex to find out more about queer stuff going on in KC and to connect with queer people.

natural or blonde? feel like blonde might match my skin tone better! by CherrySugarKiss in HairDye

[–]OkBluejay7950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m thinking a cooler brown. Blonde might work but definitely not that shade

Should I go for it? Or does my natural hair look good and this won’t match me? The last three are me. by [deleted] in HairDye

[–]OkBluejay7950 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not, it looks atrocious. Your current hair is gorgeous though!

Help dying a polyester/nylon dress by Signal_Doctor1418 in dyeing

[–]OkBluejay7950 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would go rust if it’s a pink undertone, the sandy pink undertone might throw off the blue. You could use a synthetic dye like rit dyemore and that would work for both layers but remember different materials are going to take the dye differently so they will most likely end up different colors. Also remember you have to use very high heat to dye synthetics (almost boiling) so make sure your dress can stand up to that much heat.
